Caller: NAB

My credit card had been handed in to a branch and they were calling about that. I didn't like that they called and demanded personal details and wouldn't give me any info about why - so I called NAB myself and they confirmed the reason for the call.

Caller: Fake NAB Scam

The number is NAB however CND can be forged which is what scammers are starting to do so you think it’s legit. If they won’t give you a case number for the “fraud” when they call, it’s a scam.

Keep Ringing and hanging up when I answer

This number called me at work asked if I was using my name. I said yes and then they hung up

Called me on my work number (which is not listed in my NAB account) saying they were from NAB broker services. No idea how they go that number. I hung up on them - feel like I have been spied on!

Was legimiate. I called back the number they left in the voice message and they advised that nothing was linked to my phone number, but to proivde the credit card number and they would check that. I said no, I wasn't comfortable doing that and rang the main NAB line. They confirmed that there was an issue and put me through to the same team. My cc had been attempted to be used in the USA at 1100 this morning for $0.00 - which indicated to NAB it was a test to see if the cc was active. They have blocked the CC and issued me a new card.

When i finally answered someone said his name was Ben from NAB and asked me if i had called them today, when i said "i don't have anything to do with the NAB" he apologised. I quickly hung up I thought it a bit suspect as this number has been calling me 2 - 3 times a day for past week or so including after hours times. I call spam, but what do they want?

Somebody just phoned me from this number stating, "This is NAB associated with your superannuation. . Before we continue, we first need to confirmation that we are speaking to the correct person. Please confirm your Full Name and Date of Birth and address." I replied, "I don't know who you are so i'm not giving you personal information". he stated i cannot be told of the issues until i give my personal information over the phone , to which i stated i don't do that, I am not giving my personal info. and everybody should have the same rule

why would NAB call on Friday evening at 17.30 , bit suspicious. i just got a call

I have received 3 missed calls from this number. after looking on this site I rang their 131012 number and there are no comments about having called or needing to speak with me. They gave me a mobile number for their hoax call team which is 0476 220 003 however this is only to receive text messages on not voice calls. (I found this out the hard way- I had to call them back and let them no when you try to ring it states it is not connected...) But apparently works for txt messages. They have also given me the email to send through the numbers I have been contacted on hoax @ nab.com.au They will now look into it, to find out if mine have been hoax calls or not. I am also suggesting they check out this site, as it appears there are numerous people being contacted by this number and if they were/are all legit calls, the fact they leave no message or a direct line to call back on, in my mind is atrocious customer service.

Received a call from this number, introducing himself as NAB staffer and wants find out whether I have got accounts with NAB. This is a scam for sure.

NAB call from this number. They constantly harrass me by calling to do a home loan checkup. I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling but they say they can't take my name of the list, someone else will be prompted to call back in another 2 months! This is HARASSMENT NAB, listen to your customers and respect them!

Has called twice both times leaves no message and I have never had any follow up from NAB either. Doubt it is genuine as bank has other contacts available in any case including messaging in internet banking!

Wanted to go thru security questions - but I don't bank with NAB - most likely one of these fake/masked identities going around that appear to give you a legitimate phone number - BEWARE!

The problem is now that scammers have software that allows them to look as though they are calling from the bank's legitimate number. I have had a few calls too and just ignore them. If it was really the bank, they would leave a message. I also did answer it once and they asked for my details in order to update their records as required by law. I told them no other bank was chasing me to update my information, so I would go into the branch to do it. They weren't pushy about it, which was a bit unusual! When I went onto NAB chat, they told me that it wasnt them calling, so be very careful.

Definitely a scam. Don't believe the posts that say otherwise.

Advised me that I had a business related debt but weren't able to tell me what company it was for.

NAB never ask for personal details over the phone.
