This number called me at 6:15pm claiming to be from Hipages and said he was my new Account Manager. He sounded like he was from another country even though it was an 03 number.
Hipages don't normally call, they email. Plus I highly doubt they would call businesses at that time. This guy had a heavy accent and was babbling on from what sounded like a written script he was reading off. I wouldnt give him any answers to his questions, when I told him to send me an email to the address they had on file (i was testing him as I know Hipages know my email), he just hung up on me. Ive now blocked this number and will be letting Hipages know that someone is out there pretending to be them.

Had a couple missed calls from this number did the search and found all the comments here, saved the number as scammer. Today he called I had spare time and in a good mood so I answered. Guy told me he was representing HiPages and was offering a special deal where I could get multiple years listings with unlimited leads for discounted rates, I pretended to be really pleased and happy with the deal, he asked for my email address, postal address etc etc (I didnt give him real of either) then when it came to him asking for my credit card details I told him I wasnt going to do that as his number is listed as being linked with scams and I knew he didnt work for HiPages because I closed my account with them over 6 months ago. He was not impressed with my wasting his time.

They ring all the time. Now they are telling me they are from Google before it was hi pages. They tell you that you wont have to pay per lead anymore like hi pages, instead you can pay a yearly fee for hundreds of leads. This is a bullsh*t scam and should be reported.

Hi let down guard down and gave them my credit card details. when I had a moment to reflect I knew I got scammed. I called Hi-Pages direct and confirmed my suspicion. I managed to cancel my credit card details before any transaction was made.
I rang the number back and a lady answered. she knew about this Donald. I told the scums to get a real job and stop stealing off hard working people. I said we are onto them and they will get caught

I blame the government plus Telstra for not stopping this crap. He said he was from Hi Pages. He asked how business was going. I said good, but what has this go to do with Hi Pages. He hung up. Don't know what he was fishing for but caught nothing off me. Oh well, off to another river. Apparently Australia have heaps but most of the time they only end up the creek!

That Hi Pages is dodgy as. They give the usually "youll get top position on Google" - a favourite with Indian BS artists.
I tried them out and all I got was Indians and Asians calling day and night. Clearly a scam to get you to pay for the "leads" and then talk to these guys.

I get a call from this number at least once a day during the working week, I've never really spoken to anyone they always seem to hang up - I have however programmed "Don't Answer" as the name for this number so now I simply don't answer!
