Managed to confirm that this is the fund raising centre for Mummy's Wish. I was asked to provide my phone numbers and have been assured that they will be put on the Do Not Call List and this nuisance will stop. Time will tell. But at least now I have a real person to bug and the group email address - mwi @ thefundraisingcentre.com.au.

Make a Wish Foundation. Hangs up when I answer. I've had 4 calls in 30mins and we are business. So I sent an email to Make a Wish.....see below


Good Afternoon,

Over the last few months we have been getting calls from a particular number. Upon investigation we have found that it is registered to your foundation.

We have found the calls annoying as the person making the calls do not answer and hang up immediately after I introduce myself on answering. Not only is this impolite but exceptionally frustrating, and it wastes not only our precious time but our client’s time as well.

This is a formal request to deactivate our number immediately.

We make a yearly submission of donations to those that are on our donations list. Those that are on our list for donations are rotated at yearly intervals as we can not donate to everyone on the list.

Due to the nuisance calls we will be taking the Make A Wish Foundation of our donations list.

If you can not train your telemarketers to at least be polite and answer when spoken to, then our donations are best spent on those that adhere to normal social protocols.

Thank you for your time, which I have had to waste mine, yet again, to write to you about this.

Apparently, it is Make a wish foundation. Can't call them back as it hangs up.

This number keeps calling mobile and not leaving message and when you call back it rings four times then disconnects. Not sure what it is exactly. Hope its not accessing data from phone?

They call every day! Annoying

Get these calls at least three times a week, sometimes several every day. If I have my glasses on and can see that it's this number, I ignore it. The times I have answered without looking first, there has been silence on the other end. Strangely enough, I am now getting calls from a private number a few minutes after ignoring the (03) 8692 0697 calls. I ignore those too. It could be co-incidence, but it seems odd. While I have been typing this, I have received three calls within eight minutes! Two from the 03 number and one from the private number.

Just had the same thing happen. Called mobile, I answered and it hung up! Go figure.

keeps ringing home and mobile; no message left; even hung up when I did answer. maybe they get paid for every phone that answers, whether it has a person answering or not!

I have answered a couple of times. The person asks for my wife. When I say she is out they hang up without saying goodbye. The person will not give me any details. I am secure in my marriage so we suspect its make a wish foundation. Guess what my wish is!

Received another call again from this number. Did not hear my mobile ring, but heard the message come through. TWO nights in a row... FED UP will definitely NOT donate to ANY charity that calls from now on.. Also had a PRIVATE call on land line last night, when I answered, no response, and clicked out.
