Same deal here. This number called my mobile and said they were Telebyte Australia and they use the Telstra network. My call went similarly to alot of other peoples, especially those talking about this company on the Telstra Crowd Support webpage.They put me on to a Manager when I asked lots of questions. They said they could give me a better service than I am getting now. I told them I didn't know how much I normally pay on my telephone bills (even though I did) and they said they could do it for $124 per month, which is actually slightly more expensive than I am paying now. They said this was for all included calls and unlimited data. I told them they couldn't help me because I am a long way from the exchange and Telstra are limited by their equipment, which means anyone else using Telstra equipment wont be able to get me a better service. I told them that if they confirmed in writing that they could guarantee a better service then I would think about it. He said he would do that but he needed all of this information from me first and that the call was being recorded. He started talking about what it would cost to cancel the contract etc and it sounded like he was reading me a contract. I told him that I wasn't interested in going any further unless I saw the email confirming the better service. He wouldn't let me hang up saying, just two more minutes. I started to get angry and told him I didn't have time but he kept insisting he was nearly finished. I terminated the call at 21 minutes and he hadn't got to asking me any of my personal details other than my home number. Very agressive sales department or maybe some identity fraud going on. It sounded like a very busy call centre in the background, possibly Indian accents.Jeff Muskett was the consultants name and his ID was CC04026. Ban their number. These people are nuisances trying to get personal information. They should be investigated by legal authorities

4 they have multiple numbers (03) 8644 2976 and (03) 8683 7184 have blocked them and they use another number armholes scumbags

4 calls from this number today lasting 5-6 seconds they don't talk just hang up after a few seconds.

Rang twice this morning Nov 4, both times no answer or background noise. Attempts to ring them back from a (silent) landline resulted in 'no service to that area' and 'your call cannot be completed at this time'.
Sadly, the cheap phone I'm using doesn't have the facility to auto-block.

He said his real name is Ryan (I made joke of it calling him Rain) he said I am not rain I am Ryan, infact in later stage I annoyed him I dont think he calls me back, you can try too, ask them same questions what they ask, dont give your real identity, like bank details etc.

I believe Apple have an option to block. Just do that first call. With Samsung you have to 'create contact' then hit it with the 'reject' or 'add to spam' option....don't let em spoil your day by getting stressed out over it. Take away their power...move on.

Just had a call. Guy just rambled on about information and then said "ok, so I am putting you on a deal for ADSL2plus and home line yada yada yada" so I said :"NO> you are giving me information, I have your website and your customer care number... when I want to change to NBN (not yet available for MONTHS In my area), then I WILL CALL SOMEONE. YOU WILL DO NOTHING. DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN" When you ask why they are calling you, they say "you went on the internet and looked for information on a deal". um... no, I didn't. Unless you can see in my head to know that I am looking for a deal.. I haven't bothered checking any plans yet as I haven't rung my company to see when my contract expires ;-)
