100%scam online trader ringing from overseas using melb tel numbers to disguise the real origin of telephone call from overseas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WHY ARE TELSTRA ETC ETC ETC ALLOWING US AUSTRALIANS TO PUT UP WITH THIS.FRAUD

These scam calls have started up again and they're driving me nuts. Automated call wanting you to ring them back, so you can't tell them to pi** off in person. They ring from a variety of different numbers too - all Indian/American sounding male voices saying you or your lawyer need to ring them back urgently. Ignore.

Trading. Hang up most of the time. Don't take 'not interested' for an answer. Same as (03) 8676 5627.

SCAM!! calls me everyday 4-6 times, they don't say anything. just hang up...

Scammers. I never answers calls from numbers that are not on my phone list.

Been getting this call from ages, caller doesnt speak for some seconds and then call automatically gets hanged up, whilst getting this call three to four times a day, pain in the ass...

Just had the same call from the scammers demanding that we contact as there has been a warrant issued for our arrest. This number needs to be blocked!!!

this number call every hour. every day. Claims to be the A.T.O. i also block this number but wonder how it still ,they can call???? Super annoying

Apparently there is a warrant out for my arrest due to tax evasion and tax fraud....
Twice today already. Calls coming through with "No Called ID", but they provided a number for my "lawyer" to call back.
The voice on the automated recording is definitely not Australian.

Phone message left on my mobile phone stating that there was a warrant for my arrest due to tax fraud and tax evasion and that I should not disregard the call and should ring back immediately. I DON"T THINK SO!

They are now using this telephone number as an ATO SCAM.
They advise the recipient to call back as legal action has been commenced by the ATO.
It is a complete SCAM, don't be worried by these - If the ATO is taking legal action they will write to you :)

apparently they say they are the tax office calling because i am guilty of tax fraud. there is a warrant out for my arrest...... haha what d*ck heads do they think we are. they were sounding very aggressive i can see that somebody who is timid might be taken in by this.

I didn't answered, they left a message saying there's warrant for me and I need to call them back in this number!!

Scam!!!

I got a recording asking me to call this number as is was the Australian Taxation Office and they had taken out a legal case against me and there was a warrant for my arrest. Stated that I, or my lawyer, needed to call back on this number and not to ignore this message as it was serious and would not go away. Said it was for tax fraud and tax evasion. I know I am very honest and have never defrauded ATO so I know it is not a genuine message, but it may spook others. Beware everyone, they may be ramping up their scam.

I got this number calling from the Tax department. I don't know whether it's a genuine call or a scam. So I am calling the tax department now to make sure I had not given my details to a scammer.
