Asked for me by name. Said it was AGL and repeated several times that it was being recorded ( which in itself was suspicious )... Then said because I was moving they were calling re having the power cut off.. I am not moving, thank you... After which he said he could help me with my bill if I was interested and I said no and he politely said goodbye.
It was not AGL; had it been they would have pursued the wrong information that they had re me moving and cutting off the power.
But they had my name...

Keep getting calls from (03) 8672 6533 but they don't leave a message. Sounds like a scam though so I'm glad I haven't tried calling back.

This number rang this morning - said they were from AGL and were recording my call but I knew it wasn't AGL as I had rang AGL about a matter just 10 mins earlier - I kept asking questions to them and they said they were CPM in Melbourne calling on behalf of AGL!! I said I would ring AGL direct if I want any new deals etc. Just a con!

I am getting telephone calls from them but when I answer, there is no one on the other end. From my telephone log, I have received 4 calls during the last half of June 2015.

I just got a second call from these guys. I sold my house about a month ago but haven't moved/disconnected yet. I'm a current AGL customer so I called the real AGL customer enquiry line and asked if it was a legit enquiry. Whilst the service rep couldn't rule out the idea that there might be a team at AGL tasked with this kind of thing, he could find no evidence on their system to show that they had just tried to contact me. So maybe the other team use a separate CRM system, or maybe it's one of the broker type companies playing fast and loose with the truth. As the AGL rep pointed out, since I haven't requested a disconnection yet, I wouldn't be on their marketing radar. It's potentially someone who's scanning/scraping public real estate sites for recent sales.

If it is AGL then why are they calling me for? My Bill is due in June not May. They Even called me in April when I did not have any Bills to pay. Those AGL are TERRORIST just like ISIS Muslims because even if you do not have a Bill to pay they keep bothering you. What the F**K is wrong with AGL? They need to go to Rehab on a Mental Hospital those Bullies call AGL to learn some respect. Just DIE you AGL.

Pretty sure this is AGL, but still, annoying to be getting calls twice a day - even on a Saturday - wish I could block them!

Reporting to be from AGL and wanting to know if I was moving. When I wasnt he wanted to help me ensure I was on the best plan. Gave him nothing thankfully. They also did the whole 'this call is being recorded for training purposes'.

I too have had a phone call from this number asking if I was moving or if my house was forsale, to cut a long story short stated that AGL is now connected with the real estate groups to make moving easier. Wanted my details once I said I was renting so they could check to see if I was on the best plan for AGL as AGL could now give 12.5% discount

Keep getting calls with no message left from this number, can't be important or must be a scam.

Luckily I had this number as a missed call - tried returning it, and it just cuts out automatically.

I did just terminate services with AGL, so maybe it's a half legit number where they do call fowarding from India or somewhere else...

Someone claiming to be from electricity company AGL called me on this number, asking for date-of-birth and other personal information. A quick call to AGL showed they don't know anything about it. If you call the number, the call gets automatically rejected without anyone picking up. It may be an identity theft operation. As always, you should never give personal information out to cold callers.
