3+ calls a day for weeks now! No messages ever left, & they keep calling... Only my closest family have this number... I've been with AGL & had non stop problems with them since moving house 6 months ago! As soon as my bill cycle runs over I will sign to a different energy provider, AGL are absolutely sh*t! & if it's them making harassing phone calls, (& waking up my sleeping baby!)- I will actively ensure all my family swap providers too, this is absolutely disgraceful behaviour from a company!! The number repeatedly calling us is (03) 8672 6501

Where to start!
I have had a number of calls from (03) 8672 5094 over three weeks goin on to four weeks now and still the number hasn't left a voice message.
At the end of the day if you don't leave a message I can't get back to you.
I do remember taking a call from a very aggressive telemarketer in the start of the month pretty much demanding I give my name, D.O.B and address, I didn't as she hadn't identified herself or what company she was from so I refused to give any information up (I've work in this poxy industry a longtime ago and I know that's not how you deal with customers)
Now starting on Saturday 22/08/2015 I have had a number of prank calls from (03) 8672 5094 and a mobile number aswell 0413 371 469. I did finally answer the mobile on Sunday at the crack of dawn and nobody was making noise just breathing (kinda creepy hay) so I texted the mobile number asking "who is this?" Now normally someone would text back even if it was the wrong number usually but nothing. So was given a break for two days until now 26/08/2015 and at 8:00 am this morning have had more prank calls from both landline and mobile. I have well and truly had it's goin on 4 weeks now.

I come from a very big family and I have a fair few teenaged kids in my family that are quite tech-savvy and I'm going to share your numbers aground to them just so you know what it is like to be harasses at all hours of the day and night.
I mean don't you know how annoying kids can be, especially when I'm the one paying them to bug you now.!!

Jane, having just read a post in another forum like this. It's apparently a scam. I'm with AGL and don't like them much either. However, the caller/s from this number are scammers/fraudsters and obviously out to ruin AGL's reputation in your mind and that of others, whilst also trying to do you out of money. The caller in the other forum got the caller's name and agent number. They were given AGL's number supposedly from the caller. However were smart enough to google the correct AGL phone number. Whereby AGL confirmed it was all illegitimate activity. Trust this helps.

AGL sold their contact centre to India over a year ago. The data held by AGL was sold on the darknet hence why people are receiving these calls. India dont have data breach laws so you havent been told about this...

We are also with AGL... and weekly receive calls from this number (03) 8672 6501. Stop calling us!

it's AGL, they call are calling me for an unpaid debt. As you can't be credit defaulted for amounts under $150, im ignoring my final bill for $65.

I have also moved power retailers and they call to offer me better prices on this number also.

Just got a call from (03) 8672 6501 on my mobile the guy ask for natallia and pronounced it like the spelling here,my name is not pronounced or spelt this way so told him he had the wrong number,he didnt say a last name,I dont respond if they dont ask for me the correct way lol.

I took a call from this number (after 20 missed calls). They said they were from AGL & asked for my name, date of birth, address etc before they could tell me about benefits. I refused as AGL should know this. Very unprofessional if this is a call centre approved by AGL. I now intend to move from AGL.

I just received another call from this number 3rd of the day im already with agl why would they be calling me? could it be a scam?

im with agl and im getting these calls since last couple of days . I' ve never received calls from agl,only texts or emails and they identify themselves. They are asking for personal information. I strongly said I will not disclose any such information and they wished me merry christmas and hang up !!

It's a company on behalf of AGL. Who said they could give out my number?? 5 friggin calls a day at all hours. Absolute nightmare. Wouldn't trust them as far as i could throw them.

Changed power company because my contract finished and they jacked up the prices considerably.
Before my contract expired I rang to re do a deal on better rates and they didn't want to know.
Funny how after you change they don't leave you alone but when your still with them they don't want to know.
Will never go with AGL again

I sought out this discussion because after cancelling my contract with AGL, I expected their calls and have been screening them. Several times today and the number is not necessarily the same. Same story, if they had offered a competitive quote at the finalisation of my contract, they wouldnt need to be making the calls in the 1st place! Im assuming because im a former customer of theirs, then Do Not Call does not apply to them.

Yes, the guy calling from this number said he is form AGL and try to persuade me transfer to AGL at a lower elecyticity and gas rates. My response is I need to see the rates writen on paper mailed or e-mailed to me before I can sign on it. He could not do that. Don't trust call form this number.

Usually directed by AGL receiving the automated notification of an AGL customer churning away. Notably AGL are not able to distinguish reports through this service of one of their own customers moving to a new premises.

So a highly automated and not well linked together system.

It is AGL. And if they were the cheapest energy provider in Australia I would never ever sign up with them again. They are ruthless and pursue the elderly.

I've had 5 missed calls from this number which is odd as it's not a mobile number I give out!
Any clue as to whether it's definitely AGL?
