Agreed - but even better, you can probably block that number on your smartphone. I have a "Blocked telemarketers" contact and it doesn't even ring. :-)

My strategy, tell them you would like to place an order. Then apologise and tell them you have to put them on hold. Put your phone on mute and ignore the call till they hang up. The longest they have waited is 15 minutes. hahaha

My partner gets called at 5.30am twice a week from this company. He cant get rid of them. Telemarketing laws are no calls to a residence before 8.00am nor after 8pm in the evening. They dont care. They call you whenever. Give them a fake cc no and details. Im pretty sure somewhere online u can get a generated fake no , Waste their time and annoy the hell out of them by giving them fake orders . Im sure they will stop calling .. The do not call register is pretty restricted when it comes to actioning voip no's. It sux as it is completely illegal what they are doing yet no one can seem to stop the continual harassment.

Same story except they rang me at the end of the month when I had heaps of credit so I just kept calling them back and abusing the crap out of them. One of my favourites is to ask them if they like sex and travel and then tell them to f*** off. I have tried reasoning with these guys for a couple of years and tried to get them to take my number off their list but the bastards just don't get it, so now I just abuse them and block that number unless it is a private number which you cant. They are all VoiP calls using that number as a base number. They are either in India or the Philippines but they will tell you they are in Washington Florida..like WTF? They are computer generated phone calls and these people only have a headset and no means of dialling

These people are pests! They wont take no for an answer, continue to ask me for my credit card details over the phone, they call at all hours. Also calling from same number with 08 area code. When I told them to stop calling my number, they hung up and continue to call.

The communications ombudsman obviously has no power whatsoever, or they would have shut these pricks down. The do "not call register" also seems to be useless.
