leaves message to phone them back immediately, which i didn't. ATO scam.

The worst attempt at a scam call I've ever heard. Didn't recognise the number so let it go through to voice mail. Got (an American!) robo voice threatening legal action for an unspecified reason and demanding a prompt return call - or else. Out of curiosity I called back with my number blocked and the call wouldn't even connect... Come on guys, try harder!

Claimed to be tax office. Reverse check number confirms that others report as a scam.

The number called my mobile, but when I used the landline to call back, I couldn't connect. I can only assume they were trying to hack my mobile.
