Caller: Supposedly someone from the Do Not Call Register !! Rang me at 5:30pm on a Friday evening and the caller, who had an indian accent) claimed to be from the Do Not Call Register.
The worrying thing is, he had my name, telephone number and address ... probably scammed from the White Pages as the details he gave me were the listing details.
When confronted he asked if I thought he was a scammer and when I aswered "yes", he went on the defensive and stated he cant help me thn.
I just hung up on him in the end.

Caller: Unknown Answered (03) 8652 1629 knowing its probably a scammer but I get curious! She had an Indian acent, asked if she had my name right which I confirmed. Then she asked if I ever received nuisance calls to which I said yes in the most dead pan voice because, duh! Then she drivelled on about never having that problem again for the rest of my life! And I didn't need to do anything. Right. I nicely said not interested thank you and hung up as she was still rambling on. Seriously how are people still sucked in to these scams?

I had that experience too. When I asked fif I could just go to the website and update my details there, he insisted that it could only be done over the phone. He did say my card expired in 2018 and I said why had it taken so long, he told me I had misheard. I also objected to be threatened with immediate removal from the register, I told he was bullying me and I would not take that. I told him to ring back in business hours it was after 7pm when I got the call

Caller: Scammer I left the phone on the bench after telling him that I knew he was not from a government blocking service.Went back to the phone and he was still doing his speel, though I stayed quiet. He eventually gave up after asking a few times if I was still there, and hung up.

Caller: Says she was responding to a Do Not Call Register request. Rang me at 5:30pm on Saturday evening and she had an Indian accent) said she was responding to a request from the Do Not Call Register.
She said she was given my details a few days ago and contacted me to discuss blocking scam calls. She had my name, telephone number and address which is a worry.
I asked her to repeat the company name (which due to the accent I didn't understand) and I asked where she was located. She said in Kent Street, Sydney and her name was Nancy Packer (yeh right!!!) . I asked for a phone number so I can ring back and she give me an 1800 number which I did call and it was a US number which related to a heckler blocker. I told her it was hard to hear her as she kept cutting in and out on the phone. I hung up. These people are such nuisances and a pain in the *##.@.

Like other reports, Indian-sounding male saying better DNC system starting tomorrow. Wanted me to confirm details like whether I pay by direct debit. Other voices in background - so probably a call centre. Probably a scam and I hung up.
