I had a call today from a blocked number it was the ANZ in relation to a personal banking matter. I was asleep because of shift work. If you've read the entries on this site you know the routine u go through for verification. I asked the person to speed things up and get to point of call. That done and call finished I can't believe I've received a missed call from this 8645 number some two hrs later. I unfortunately called back tonight to find out I've now been rescheduled. I definitely won't be answering it. In hindsight I've ignored calls from this number in the past.

I also bank with another major bank and I have none of the phone call persistence and annoyance from them like I do from the ANZ. A simple txt or email when they need to communicate is done.

If you are reading this site and work for the ANZ can u pls send a link to it to your CEO and get him to do something about it. Other banks don't operate this way with customers and it appears from the entries non-customers as well.

The number has rang me to.The A N Z bank asks if they are talking to you and identify themselves as the A N Z bank,they also do not talk about personel items,generally about services they provide and wether you have heard of them.If you haven't,they offer to mail out the information to an address that you have to give them.To date thats how it's been and there has been no issues.The A N Z never emails asking for your information,this I have been told by the bank due to the email not being secure enough.Therefore their is only one answer for it.It's a scam.

Someone rang my mobile phone from tel#(03) 8646 8775 but not answering and instead sounded like just listening to my voice which was creepy. Thus, I just hung up and looked up said number in Google and found this site.

Have been receiving calls from this number about 3x/week. Havent answered any, today called the number back from my work phone, the message said it was an ANZ outbound service? I dont bank with ANZ and never have. I may answer the next one just to give them what for, depending on what kind of mood I'm in!

They are still active as at today 29/04/2013.
It is a percentage game as eventually someone gives up their personal details. I would like to hear from someone that has given out their details and their feedback.
PS no Aussie voices on the other end!

Got a missed call from this number today. Don't appreciate ANZ giving out my personal details to whoever. Am glad I found this site, so I know how to deal with the call ...IGNORE IT!

Both home phone & mobile are on donotcall register and I'm receiving calls from (03) 8646 8775....bloody nuisance...just like the private number "do you have solar panels" calls....as an ANZ customer I'm glad I found this page!!

Just got a call 3 minutes ago, looks like an old fashioned scam.

Same as above. I receive a few 03 calls due to business, but after answering and no one talking i decided to check out on line to see who was calling. have blocked the number after reading complaints, But probably wont be long before they block their number or get a new one.

No answer on the phone, almost to the point of anoying.

Have at least 5 missed calls in the alst 2 weeks from this number. They leave voicemails saying nothing but one was an Australian male voice that just said in an annoyed voice " I always get bloody voicemail" . Sounds like a total scam

I just found out that this number is listed as a call divert on my phone. I had Optus remove it. I don't know how it managed to get on it or what the ramifications are.

Funnily enough I missed a call from this number two days ago and was reading this site just now when I got another call from them. I answered, ready to let them know what I thought about this practice and the line was on hold for about 10 seconds then hung up.

Just answered a call from (03) 8646 8775 and heard nothing on the other end. They hung up after about 10 seconds.

Receiving these calls in the middle of the night as we are in Europe.
Also lodged this number with donotcall.gov.au.

Received a missed call from this number today - glad I didn't answer and checked on here.

They've been calling my mobile for a few days.
I don't answer numbers that I don't know so haven't answered this.

Keep calling me and asking for my husband. Says they are the "bank of ANZ"... I bank with ANZ and they told me its more than likely a scam and not to give them any details
