Caller: Claims to be AGL

Wanted me to give out personal information Over the phone to confirm MY identity. I said: not likely, email me. Caller: what’s your email address? Me: if you know everything you will already have it. Caller: you are very rude. Me: you called me. She hung up.

Scam

I got a call today 6:00 PM, his name is Vijay and asked me for security validation to confirm my address and date of birth. I asked him how do I trust you that you are legitimate person from AGL. he keeps insisting for address and date of birth rather giving the information that what he wanted to speak to .. it looks like scammer collecting user database to take some advantage on my account

This is AGL. Not a scam number

Caller: Apparently AGL Credit Assist

Recording saying that they are AGL....then some guy comes on the line saying hello, hello and then there’s an audible click and he says “AGL Credit Assist how can I help you today?” I say I don’t think you’re from AGL, there’s a pause and he hangs up. Obvious scam!

Caller: Said they were AGL

Sounded sus, wanted me to confirm my name and date of birth. Said my account was on hold. Said the calls would be no loner. I asked her what the reason for the call was. Was very vague. Then said an amount I was over due. Will check to see if she is correct - Such an odd call!

Caller: Tgey said AGL

Insisted on speaking to my wife. We don't have an AGL account. My wife said it is a scam and don't ring back. I am confident that it is a scam seeking personal information.

Aggressive rude scammer.

Just had a woman call me saying she was from AGL and had a new plan for me, please provide your details. I asked what this was in regards to what plan she said AGL but could not disclose the details as this was confidential. She said this conversation will be recorded do you consent. I said no.
Very assertive and rude. I just hung up. Be careful everyone its so easy for them to get your details!

Appears to be a scammer who has ongoing access to AGL personal information - they call demanding money when no money is due, and don't have access to current account status.

Confirmed that this number belongs to the contracted debt collection department ,advised them of the regulations around the volume of calls.Suggest you ask to speak to Resolution Department Manager, and consider moving to another company

Seems AGL need to pay their own bills... couldn’t understand a word coming from them and when they started with having to provide name and DOB that’s a no.

this is a scam..claims it is AGL.. wants to have your details insofar as your AGL account.. claims your pg number is linked to your energy account and it an unpaid ... in short you need to pay them you unpaid bill... be aware..

Caller: AGL scam, I suspect

Called me today, answered and it sounded like someone walking around outside in the wind. Took a while before he responded, he said the call would be recorded and asked for my details. I refused, told me I had to provide them to continue the call I said no again. He told me to "call AGL on whatever number you have before it's too late". Checked my online acc, all fine.

Received a dodgy SMS first on my mobile to say my email was not working (not the usual AGL message, so very suspicious), then had a call which did not answer. Scam.

Caller: Pretending to be AGL

Def scammers who say they are from agl using their number on caller id
Called 3 times. One unanswered. Second the guy referred to a suburb in America as my billing address. This morning I just have fabricated information which confused her so they obviously have our information from somewhere. She hung up when I challenged her. Next time will keep them on for longer on case call can be traced

Sick of this number ringing me and at all hours sometimes 3 times a day. Have blocked the morons.

3 calls today, no one is there mostly.
The 3rd time I said you can F### off and stop ringing me, still no one talking.
