I called back number (03) 8611 5156 spoke to a woman who said company name is AGL.

Caller: AGL

Caller identified himself as an AGL representative.

didn't answer. they did not leave message. looks like marketing call.

Says they are AGL but they are definitely not. Just hang up guys

Answered the call in the morning and greeted with silence for 30s. Hung up.
Then called again at 6.30pm.
Ignored it and set to blocked number.

rang back and went through to sounds of a call centre, no pickup

I've received many calls from this number. My phone says Potential Fraud. I've never answered but have noticed that they call previous customers of AGL. Like others, I left AGL due to dissatisfaction of their service over 12 months ago. They must be haemorrhaging unhappy customers to go to the lengths of harrassing old customers back. Hope something is done to stop them.

Caller: Said they were from Amazon.

Asked for authorisation for payment for a service that was never used. Note: The only time Amazon will call you is when "you request the call".

Haven’t been with AGL for nearly 12 months yet persistently call and harass me. Got a quick f*ck off and number blocked from me.

I have received the call from this number more than 3 times both on my home phone and mobile phones, then I called back, a lady who said she is from AGL, due to the area code is 03 I asked are you in Melbourne? She said she is in Philippine. If this is really AGL's service, AGL should stop doing it!!!

They're saying they're from AGL offering services and asked my name. I said if they're calling me they don't need my name. She asked if I would consider their services and I asked how they got my number. She said I was a customer but left. I stated I did not agree to be on a marketing list and to remove me and if I continue to get calls I will report it. She said she would remove me and hung up.

My phone identified it as "potential scam" though. If you want to consider AGL, ask for their name and how to contact them via the advertised number.

Yet another waste if time, call centre that ring and hang up and won’t leave a message. If you’re not in contacts I do not answer calls because of people like this. What is it with these power companies every day I receive calls from the sort of people!

These people have called me 3 times over the last 2 days - called back and they said they were from AGL (obviously calling from overseas - Asian accents), I told them I’d cancelled my account 12 months ago and they kept persisting for my details. Refused and they called yet again asking for my details saying they had deals for new plans with AGL, but I insisted again I didn’t have an account anymore and demanded they take me off their call list. Low & behold I got another call today!!! Definitely scammers.
