I answered and said "Let me stop you there. I'm already happy with my electricity provider, so no thank you". Then 'Connor' said "This has nothing to do with electricity, I want to talk about your energy discount". Wouldn't tell me how he got my details. When I told him he was wrong about my energy company he asked who I was with. I refused and told him again that I wasn't interested at which point he yells "THEN WHY ARE YOU WASTING MY TIME?!" and hung up. This prick calls up to waste my time then yells at me for wasting his time... If only I could reach through the phone and strangle this person.

Yet another new number to discuss your "electric and gas" account even though my account isn't in my name or listed to my phone number!

I have blocked at least 3 calls from this mob using different numbers in the last 2 weeks. I answer the phone with "HI" . They say "is this Peter" I respond "what do you want"? They babble on. I say "thankyou, not interested, have a nice day" and hang up and block the call. I make sure I sound polite and firm, but do not confirm my name, do not say yes and do not go off at them.

call centre, select and offer. after the call if you're an IPhone user go into phone>recents>information symbol> scroll down and select 'block this caller'. works a charm but they have a few numbers so you may need to do it more than once.

They say they are the Victorian Watch Dog for electricity and gas and I have told them at least 30 times, actually it's probably more like 40 times NO EXAGGERATION that I am not interested. Originally they kept telling me that my electricity provider should be giving me 40 per cent discount and then after many more calls I told them I had contacted my own electricity provider and now have 40 percent discount if paid on time, now they are trying to tell me that it's 47 percent discount. Why or why would a watch dog group be ringing and pestering me soooooo many times. I ignore their calls now.

Another annoying telemarketing company. I was silly to answer it the first time, told them I am not interested and remove my number from their system and opt out for any future calls! Yet one week in, I am still getting the same number calling me everyday!

Call me so many times a day. At last I picked up and told them not to call again. Guess what? They called again and again...

I can second this - don't answer, call back then opt out via the automated menu.

Select and Offer is a pest. Calling to sell electricity & gas deals at 8pm is totally inappropriate. Best to block them.

I had a call today, they had asked for me and as I don’t answer my phone often when another state calls me I said she’s not here right now. They then asked “are you on the electricity bill at (address) I then said no. They then said they will call back another time to speak to myself. The thing is the address they said was my old address, I have not lived there for 3 years, I was never on the electricity bill as I was 15-16 years old , I have not moved out of home yet I’ve been living with my father and partner. They seem to know a fair bit and it’s just so weird.

Company called Select and Offer(?). Calls multiple times and never leaves a message. If you call back, and press Option 5, you will be removed from the calling list.

I believe that they just want you to say YES a few times, so they can record your answer and the use it to set up different accounts.
