Scam, said your shop NBN will disconnected if you want to still connected have must pay fee. Calling business from Melbourne phone Number. AU government should rule that without ABN Rego, nobody should allow to buy virtual phone numbers.

absolute scam trying to get me to switch providers because they are cheaper and NBN is a government initiative and they are a government provider. he was good, he got me all the way to giving my email and DOB, but then it clicked when he put me onto his 'manager' - saying they would send me a modem, i would be charged a one off fee only when the plan was active of $99 then $79 per month.

2nd time they've called my business looking for a residential resident (not me). Called my business, asked for the owner. I said I could help. He got me to write down his name, "Onir" in case I needed to get back in touch (as if!). Said it was about the NBN roll out in my street (now this is where it gets interesting - he quoted me the previous owner of our business number's personal name and street address) and that they would send me a new modem, but not to open the box. He said, "I humbly ask that you do not open the box." (Why..... will it be empty, by any chance???). A technician will then call me to set it up and then I would pay. Upon further questioning, he gave me his company name of IntEx ("International Exchange"), agreed that he was calling from India (But he had "spoofed" an Australian phone number) but couldn't give me any Australian address details. I called him out on the scam, especially over the suspicious box that I mustn't open!! Deny, Deny, Deny...

Indian Man "Das"

Pushy af, insisting to get my company line NBN ready. So dodgy and pushy... but knows all of my company details, my mobile phone number and my email address, hence spoke to him for a little bit. Surely the australian government wouldn't hire indians to make the switch call. Annoying. also got offered the $79.99 plan unlimited calls and unlimited internet. Glad i saw all the feedback from here as he was persistently trying to call me back ... thank you all for the feedback.

Supposed to be about nbn connection. I fell for it and gave my mobile number and e-mail address, nothing else. Would not stop calling me had to disconnect the phone. He knew my name and address so thought legit. Reckoned I had the same name as his girlfriend. Yeah, right! Called following day..and he's calling now! Have been ignoring. Here he goes again. How can I stop this? Can I be ripped off if he has me e-mail address? He's just called me again. Aaarrrggghhh! He has called 4 times whilst typing this.

Have been calling my mobile number relentlessly every night, usually around 5-6pm for the last 2 weeks or so. They tried again last night so I answered. Indian accent asked if I was Mr X - I said "Do I sound like a male?" "Oh I'm sorry Ma'am are you Mrs X?" No I'm not, don't call this number again!! Didn't give them the time to find out if NBN or Origin or what. Bassssstards!

Caller: Call centre B Vivid"- clearly a scammer

Rang (my retail workplace) asking for someone by name (Mrs Crik). Did not say where they were calling from. I said there's no-one here by that name and asked where they were calling from. Asked if I was the business owner without answering. I said you can't be asking someone a series of questions without saying WHO IS CALLING. (I knew for sure it was a scammer by now). Told me - could not understand 5 times and eventually got B Vivid/Be Vivid NBN. Told him there was no one here by that name and how unprofessional he was, when he hung up on me! I did ring back the number and they answered B Vivid - (shows as local Vic number).

Caller: Indian accent Re; NBN Roll out

Had several calls asking for the manager, when I said he wasn't available, they hung up. Rang again today stating our business name, I asked what it was regarding. He said it was about the NBN roll out. I told him we already had it, he then asked when it was put on, which I told him. When I told him we were under contract with Telstra, he lost interest and ended the call. Time wasters!

Caller: An Indian man who wouldn't identify his Company

This guy wanted the owner of the business and of course he denied he was in a call centre. He said it was about the telephone account (do they think we're born yesterday)? After his second pushy request I advised that he was harassing me and I was terminating his call. These nuisances are such a waste of our time !
