Pre recorded message of man with accent advising he is from the ATO and wants to settle a tax warrant before the police become involved. Clearly a scam. VERY THREATENING.

A man named RUSSELL tried to convince my dad that he had committed tax fraud and now owes thousands. I called the police to report the call and they advised that they are aware of this scam and to ignore any further contact from this number.

Same happened to me yesterday, said they were from the ATO tax fraud. Strong accent, said his name was Adam. Not sure how he knew my full name though

Same with me happened nd they took whole of my amount dey r just fraud.

Received this voice message today, idiotic and threatening, called the number back and was either busy or engaged

This caller is stupid enough to even leave a message on our answering machine. Apparently we are going to be arrested for tax fraud and had to call the number back to avoid being arrested by police. We rang the number but it does nothing then just goes engaged. I wish it could be traced.

Happened to me too this week. Has anyone reported this to the ATO?

Pre recorded message of a woman with an American accent, advising she is from ATO and she has registered a criminal case against my name for tax evasion/fraud and wanted a call back before local solicitors became involved. Agreed, very threatening.

Same deal, man with an accent advising he is from ATO headequarters and threatening police action. Sounds awful and then has the audacity to say "have a nice day" at the end of his call!

Two call in a week, same voice and msg on answering machine. Same msg as Jeremy. Def not answering or calling back that one.
