Scammers, but funny thing was I was watching a movie and when they rang it was during a very loud fighting scene, so i stayed silent and took it off pause. He must have thought he had called a war zone. I thought I was funny.

Do not respond to these calls in any way as they are an awful scam. I receive a call at least once a week usually in the late afternoon. The calls are most likely to be made overseas and then rerouted to Australia to give the impression that it is a local call

Claimed to be from some website wanting to talk to another member of the household whose phone it was not, claimed to be a gambling website wanting to talk about an offer, how bizarre also on the do not call registry.

Beware, a scam caller. They left a message telling me that it was my lucky day, & to call them back on a different number to the one that they called on. I'm also on the Do Not Call register, so I don't know how they are getting through.

Pretended to be from Telstra wanting to refund me $90 as I hadn't used my Telstra service much in the last six months.... How about I haven't been with the Big T for twenty years!.
Clearly a scam.

Caller: Paul he said

Monotonously trying to scam Aussies, stating in his message that I'm so lucky today,
then I couldn't understand what was said other than to call him back on a number that I could here.
I'm on the do not disturb register also
I think that overseas callers are able to and manage to attain an Australian number to reroute there foreign number through so as to appear local.
This is a fraudulent practice and must be stopped by Aussie Officials, to stop the unawares being stung.

Was amused that his guy wanted to speak to my dog about buying overseas lottery tickets. Seemed confused and didn't make much sense. Obvious scam of some sort. Don't care. Just hang up on this idiot time wasters.

I can see from everyone's reaction, I now know I'm not alone. With all the technology there is l'm sure the telephone company's can put a stop to all these nuisance callers. Oh, that might cost them money! Sick and tired. Cheers
