The person calling from (03) 8372 4007 claims to be Liz James from
Insurance Facilitators

their website is http://if.net.au/contact/

And Liz no longer works there she retired, their real number is (08) 8372 4020

I have no Idea what the person claiming to be Liz from IF wants as she never answered her phone.

most likely this is some kind of scam be careful don't hand over any information unless you called them and you know who they are.

They called me today. I had trouble understanding him because he spoke so fast. I rang them back because I missed the call and it was answered straight away and they knew who i was without me telling them. Fishy and dodgy.

It isn't a scam but an issue with the phone number (03) 8372 4007 who is a telemarketer, when you ring the number back on a missed call it goes to (08) 8372 4007 (not a telemarketer). Sorry if it has happened to you, it is not our fault, we are trying to rectify.

They called my mobile number then hang up instantly after 1 ring.
I rang them back they put me on hold saying "your call is important to us you will be answered by next available operator"

They seem to be selling insurance but never answered their phone.

We are an insurance underwriting agency and our number is being misused by a telemarketing company. However they are calling from an 03 number whereas we are an 08 number. So when dialling a missed call it seems to be calling our office. We have reported this to our phone company and the marketing company that is not affiliated with us.

Not a scam, it was a Telstra issue, when you call back on a mobile the area code (03) would call (08).
