This number calls me at lest 4-5 times a day very annoying

this is energy Australia. spoke to them and they said they had no record of the call apparently my call logs are wrong

This is second time they have called within 2 weeks. I let it go through to voicemail. They requested a call back on correct Energy Australia number saying overdue account needs to be fixed up immediately.

They have called me 6-8 times a day for the past 6 months. This is actually ridiculous. I answered the first few times and they said that my Tru Energy bill was overdue and that I had to pay by credit card on the spot over the phone. I told them that I would contact Tru Energy directly. Which I did, and they said there were no overdue bills. Since then I have not answered the phone when that number pops up. But it's absolutely insane the amount of calls I am getting.

Just got called today telling me I have to pay some debt on my previous house which I moved out about 3 months before bill came in. I already cancelled before I moved out though. And he said he will disconnect all my gas and electricity if I do not pay that amount (it is amount 18 months ago). And he tried to ask me about credit card number too. So lame. I am not gonna pay

this number asked me to pay using my credit card immediately saying I have an outstanding payment.

And I told him I do not have anything like that, and they transferred my call the Energy Australia, and they say there is nothing wrong with my account.

They will call with your name but will then ask you to confirm your identity by giving your details. Politely refuse and say you will call Energy Australia directly. They give up at that point

Collection agency for Energy Australia. They quoted my account number and provided me with the correct Energy Australia number to phone back on (133 466) so they seem legit. The issue is why is Energy Australia referring me to a collection agency lol

I just had a call from these guys. Left a message saying they are from energy Australia. So dodgy.

I checked the web after I got this number calling my house phone. I'm glad I clicked this site, now I know not to trust their bullsh**. Odd number made me suspicious. I'm with true energy and never had any harrasments by phone

Yep always get harrased by this number. Might have to lodge a complaint to the ombudsman. Very frustrating!!!

Call me half a dozen times a day...by the time i pick up i get nothing, no dial tone, no speaking nothing, then after a few seconds the call disconnects.

Definately a scammer dudes, I called Tru energy who it was claiming to be from and they didnt have any record of debt or a call to me.

Keep getting calls from this number - by the time I answer they have hung up. Interesting that it is Tru Energy. I have had no end of trouble with them since June 2011. Put solar panels up, but Tru Energy keep sending estimated bills which are now threatening disconnection. We are almost $2,500 in credit with power we have exported into the grid, but the bills continue despite monthly calls to Tru Energy. I gather from previous posts this is the collection agency number, so they have still not got their act together.

I refuse to answer a number I don't know. Leave a message and I'll happily call you back. That's what every other legit company does, including my credit card provider and telco if I'm overdue on a payment. So let them waste their time... bloody pests.

i hate tru energy, its harrassment the amount of calls i am getting lately...grrr

I am also with tru energy, have put in a complaint with the ombudsman I urge you all to do the same so it's investigated and put an end to it. It's unacceptable

Wow good to know its a scam of sorts...can they be dobbed in for harrassment?? I literally am getting 4-5 calls a day...on weekends, after 8.30 at night...i have tried calling it back and its engaged all the time...i have no idea what to do about it and its driving me nuts... they also only ring about 3 times then hang up...i can't even answer it and tell them to bugger off!
