Finite Elements managing director Phil Durbin was the Chief engineering advisor to Hollywood Film Director James Cameron and his Australian partner Ron Allum for 6 years during the design, development, manufacture and construction of the DEEPSEA CHALLENGER submersible that enabled James Cameron to be the first human to solo dive to the deepest place on the planet in March 2012.
