Caller: Michael Roy 417M2112 & Natasha Ellwood 417J0059

first number was 0404 105 206, had to push 1 to find out why I had an arrest warrant under my name. spoke with an officer Michael Roy (whom had an Indian accent) he said I had an arrest warrant out for me for several accounts of fraud, he said I had 25 accounts in Sydney, he then asked to confirm a few things like the last 3 numbers of my TFN (I did not know it off the top) so D.O.B and full name was required. I then asked if I could go into a station to sort this, they replied "if you go into a station you will be arrested, your name is red flagged and you will be arrested". I then asked if I could tell my wife because transferring funds around is not normal coming from me? They said "You can not tell anyone as this is an investigation, it could be anyone, it could even be your wife, you must not tell anyone" once they said that, I should had clicked that this was a scam. (My wife would had told me already if she was they mayor of Ozark). They even asked me to give them the number to the local police station, (I had to google it as I do not know the number at all) they said they will get the station to give me a call to confirm this was a real case. so the number I gave them actually gave me a call back and said he was an officer from my local station and to comply with everything the officers are asking of me (He too had an Indian accent). I was then transferred back to Officer Roy. Officer Roy told me I had 2 options, the 1st option did not sound to great as it sounded like I was admitting that I had actually committed fraud. then the 2nd option pretty much said I will help in this case to find out whom the convict could be. I took option 2. That then Transferred me to (03) 6222 3455 Officer Natasha Ellwood, we then went through a few things, I then asked her the same questions I asked Roy. she gave me the same answers. she then told me to transfer all of my money and go to the bank and withdraw it all, so we could freeze my accounts and get a new TFN (Forgot to mention, she has an Indian accent too). so I transfer all of my cash to 1 account, I told Ellwood this will take 1-2hrs. she then says okay I will give you a call back in 1hour and you can update me then. I said okay and we both hang up.. So I'm stressing out, I leave work to go to the bank but before going to the bank I head straight home. I pull out the laptop and google search the numbers & I find this page. Thank goodness I did not go any further. Also rung my wife to tell her about it, she advised to block all the numbers that had rung me today. so I did. Now I have blocked the number I have 30 auto rejected calls starting from 12.25pm - 1.29pm. I have listened to a few of the voice messages and none of them are like, "Hello ******* this is a call from officer Ellwood from Hobart station". they are all quiet, waiting for me say something, like when a telemarketer tries to call you and leaves a blank message. So just a heads up, do not push 1! Push the red Butten, save yourself the stress lol.

I got a call and as soon as I answered a computer operated message saying "Some fraud with my account". I blocked it instantly.
That happened to me three months back and I panicked and Immediately called the ATO immediately and they informed me that it is a scam and a lot of people are receiving it and basically targeting international students.

SCAM. Hang up now and call the police or Services Australia yourself. I was given a call from a women saying she was from the federal police - they used real phone numbers for police departments and have somehow managed to get the Services Australia number to come up in google search. When I search for the numbers I got the real police department phone numbers. They used the real police department numbers to convince that these scam reports on this page were false but they are true - these people are scammers.

Unfortunately my father fell for this and lost a lot of hard earned cash, I wish I knew what was happening at the time or this would’ve never happened. PLEASE be careful, no one deserves this. Be smart.

This just happened to me. Its a very aggressive scam so please think your way through. I was told there was a police arrest warrant out for misusing my TFN, they claimed they were calling from the ATO. I called Vic police to try confirm and they said they were not looking for me. The call came from 0404 178 115 then (03) 6222 3455 and then my local police station. Impersonating government officials is illegal so please grab some information.

Dear All, I got a call to my mobile number from 0403 474 536 and told me the same story above and asked me t press one to find the details of the incident. then I was connected to the lady above and told my TFN has been missed for various frauds. The line got disconnected and write after that I got called from the same lady and above mob number appeared in phone. I told her that I you spam and she hung up. I called later Services Australia and 1800 941 126 reported the incident. They said it is spam and there is no such person in their organisation. So pls be careful.

There is a man said from Investigation Citizen Center of Australia. He said my TFN had been used by others and need to be deleted. But before that I need to withdraw all money from bank account by buying Amazon cards at post office. He threatened me and told me to keep secret. He emphasised that he is from Government and I had to follow him. I checked with local police but there is no Department like that and we do not need to do anything like that. Be careful!!!
