A recorded message supposedly from the ATO using the name Nicky Johnson. Have reported it as a scam to the ATO.

A recorded message received today from an apparent ATO service officer. The number was answered by an Indian man claiming to be an officer Dan Murphy who informed me a law suit was going to be raised against me by the Tax Office. I told him I didn't believe him and hung up. Unfortunately I can't get through to the tax office to report the scam as yet

I received a call from these scammers on my message bank. They asked me to call back immediately as it was a time sensitive issue. I did this as they said it was Kelly Walker from the ATO. I spoke to an Indian sounding bloke who asked me to verify my phone number. I did that and then they hung up. Scammers for sure

same deal but was for person called Ken Walker.

This a scam number !! My mum was about to give payment but was stopped by a friend !!!! Thank the lords

Same person, Nicky Johnson, has left a message today, claiming to be from ATO in regard to urgent matter, on my elderly parents phone. We are reporting to ATO today

My mother received a call from this number saying it is Nicky Johnson (sounded Indian) from the ATO and asked if she knew a criminal lawyer as she needs one. She said yes, my son is a lawyer contact him. Caller hung up and of course no call to me. It is a Scam.

I got a message from supposedly a Nicky Johnston from ATO asking me or my lawyer to call back immediately about an urgent matter that was time sensitive. When I returned the call it disconnected immediately. Smelt a rat straight away with the American accent, no message to say the name of who this Nicki person was calling for, etc. A scam I believe to try to get people to pay tax debts over the phone I would say from info on the ATO site. If in doubt, call the tax dept during office hours but do not give any personal or bank account details to this person over the phone.
