Arrest Warrant Scam

Caller: (03) 5045 3746

Said they were from ebay and would be taking $299 from my bank account.

As stated above - SCAM. Missed call, received text saying there was a lawsuit under my name.

Caller: EBAY

someone has hacked your account and is going to deduct $300 in less than 2 hours - scam obviously.

Let call go through to messages - message said "$9.99 and the same will be debited from your account automatically. If you want to cancel this. Then press one. Quote your claim for refunding (?)."

The automated message was partly cut off. Said 'the same' money was going to be debited from my account automatically (for what i dont know). If i wanted to cancel, to press buttons to speak to a representative

I got a call from the scammers‭ ATO they called they told me I had done a crime I had to go to jail for six years pay them 8000 From this number(03) 5045 3746‬

Answered a call from this number but got a recorded message from male with American accent claiming to be from ATO saying I had multiple lawsuits against my name and a warrant had been issued for my arrest. They quoted a reference number and demanded I call them back immediately or I will be arrested. Idiots - surely no one in Australia falls this sort of threat anymore!

Received a call today didn't answer and left an automated voice message that says

"There is a law suit case that is getting filed under your name. The moment you receive this message I want you to get back to me on my department division number (03) 5045 3746. Now, if we don't hear from you, we have to issue arrest warrant under your name and get you arrested, so get back to me as soon as possible."

Didn't call back, obviously a scam, was quite scary to hear though!

I got the same experience, did not nattend the phone and then received a vfoice message that I will be arrested if I don't call back.

From where they just got my phone?

Yes, they said I will be arrested if I don't call them back.

scam call just got it it said mildura and the automated voice and it said exactly what everyone else is saying dont know how they got my number but i blocked them
very obviously fake and really creepy i hope no one falls for this

The ATO Do not send automated msgs as advised by my accountant, Do not engage with these people, The ATO do not run around arresting people

SCAM

I reported this as a scam to the ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) Scam Watch website. I didn’t call back and I just blocked the number on my phone to prevent them calling back.

Law suit arrest warrant !
