Man with strong accent left a message in my voicemail saying that he's calling from the ATO and I'm being investigated for tax fraud. He sounded threatening but the clue that made me suspicious was that he did not address me by name. I rang up ATO scam hotline to confirm I'm not being investigated in anyway. The ATO was definite that the call was a scam. BEWARE PEOPLE, these scammers will catch you off guard and even by answering a simple 'Yes' will land you in trouble

Received a voice message telling me that the ATO had filed a warrant against me for tax evasion and to press 1 if I wished to discuss the matter prior to the warrant being executed. When I tried to ring the number back it does not connect so sounds like a potential scam.
