Message left by 'Jason O'Connor' which was the usual crap-you're about to be arrested for tax fraud-call me back etc. This one was an American/Phipilpino accent

This number is used as part of a scam claiming that you owe a tax debt and are about to be arrested if you don't pay up.

Same as others but in Sth African accent. Creeps. Fancy doing a 'job' like that.

I had a message on my home line from Jason O'Conner saying he is from Taxation Office re tax evasion and not paid tax - threatening that a Police will come and put me in jail if I don't pay up
I rang back and the phone was making lots of noises and then went to another ringing tone - I told him this is not a Taxation phone number and that I will go to the Police with his message and phone number and I hung up

Had the same message on my phone last night. Supposed call about tax evasion and being referred to the police for arrest. Ummm....I don't think so!

SAME! ,But I want to know WHAT IS BEING DONE BY OUR GOVERNMENT ???????To stop this surely they can track these numbers and take action similar to breaking fingers and knee caps. I mean to say they don't have a problem in fining some one for a parking offence , yet these scammers have been known to rip people off for thousands! Also to cause a lot of trauma to some people especially the elderly that don't know any better

Have had several messages over several weeks from Jason O'Connor from the ATO in an Asian accent. Usual stuff - take this call seriously, warrant issued for my arrest, attend to the matter before police knock on the door. I have had messages from two different numbers. After the first couple of messages I reported the incident to the ATO. They advised that they would never telephone regarding a matter of this nature - they would write. Also, ATO phone numbers start with 13.

We had 9 messages on our answering machine - 5 from Jason O'Connor from ATO - we're goong to be arrested apparently. How do I stop them from calling? Our number is on do not call lists. Annoying

Even though I have been retired for several years, according to Jason O'Connor from the "Australia Taxes Office" a debt is going to be executed against me by the "Commonwealth Courthouse of your territory" but, before the "local Police Department" come and arrest me, I should ring him. This is disgraceful, these idiots should be found and locked up for fraud and scaring people. DO NOT acknowledge them in anyway.

I had a message left on my answering machine from a man with an Indian accent claiming to be from the Australian Taxation Office and that there. Was a warent out for my arrest and the local officer would come and arrest me at home if I didn't call back. Has to be a scam!

I got same msg: this call from from supposed Tax agent Jason O'connor with Phillipiano /American accent saying that I was going to be arrested for tax fraud and a warrant has been issued for my arrest if I did not ring him back and an officer from the local police station would be knocking at my door.

Just received a msg on landline from this "Jason O'Connor" - Indian voice. Tax evasion arrest as above. So they're still at it. I did NOT, of course, ring back. What is in it for these morons? Or if you did call back - and believed them - does that give them another crack at a frightened person to get money from them? That sounds like threats with menaces, to me, so a criminal offence!

yep same thing Jason O'Conner tax evasion, get arrested etc. It would be so nice to find these people and publicly stone them, or cut there fingers off so they can't use a phone again.
