Recorded message allegedly from ATO claiming arrest warrant will be issued for some imaginery tax debt. Hung up before end of message.

It was an Asian voice that spoke with the ATO message. I told him he was talking B.S. as the Taxation Dept. would contact me by snail mail or through my accountant. He was not very happy and tried to continue the conversation but I hung up.

Missed call from this number & they had left a voicemail saying that they're calling in regards to tax fraudulent blah boa blah & that there's a warrant for my arrest"

scam said they are from ATO don't give them nothing.

They obviously have progressed in their approach. Rang at 7:38am this morning & an India accented "Rick Smith" claimed he worked for ATO & that I'd be arrested within 45 to 60 minutes. Even though I knew it was a scam because I pay my tax in full, it is still quite unpleasant. He wasn't so sweet when I rang him back & told him I've rung the police & reported him & notified scam watch. His response " who are you you Mo..... Fu....er?" Probably won't get caught but it's nice to turn the tables a little.

Claimed to be from ATO - couldn't pronounce my name properly. I hung up and blocked the number.

Hung up when I answered.

Recorded message apparently from the ATO. Stated that this was the last warning before arrest warrents would be issue for unpaid money. I hung up before this message finished.
