Ato scam recorded voice message saying they were registering court prosecution that day and to call them back that day. We called the real tax office who confirmed it was a scam.

Left a voicemail threatening me that they will issue a arrest warrant if I don’t call back..f*ck retards...

I just received a call from the number with an automated message stating a lawsuit is being filed by ATO. When I recalled the number a guy spoke and he sounded like he was of Indian ethnicity. He answered the call saying "Hello ATO".I did hear it clearly initially and then he repeated saying "I'm from the Australian Tax Office". He sounded like he was not used to saying what he said....so I hung up.

I let the call from this number go to voicemail. When I checked my messages it was an automated recording, with an american accent, saying that if I didn't call back they would issue an arrest warrant for me.... so it's obviously a bogus call. I have now blocked the number.

Ignored the call but they did leave a voice mail. A computerised voice saying it was a call from the department and if I didn't call them back then they would have to issue an arrest warrant! Blocked as spam.

The voicemail left said there was an arrest warrant out ‘in my name’ and to get back to them otherwise I would be arrested. Surely this is illegal behaviour?
