Caller: Alex - Good english

Purports to be from Optus. Asked multiple times if a direct employee of Optus said he was. Asked for a No. to call him back on. Said does not want to leave it because is in meetings. Used caller id and called No. back and went to voicemail. No Optus identifiers so definitely not them (not that I thought it was anyway)

Said his name was Alex from Optus. Wanted our general manager's name to "update" his records. Has called before. Didnt want to leave his contact details. Said he would just call again and hung up rudely.

Caller: Optus - Aussie bloke

Was looking for a company we used to own and said he helped small businesses, asked if we had a phone with Optus and then asked if we had a phone with Vodafone or Telstra. Sounds like a scam

I called back number (02) 9435 4720 rang once then someone said hello then got disconnected right away.

Could you please verify that this number is actually from an Optus representative?
