Had this number call 3 times over a couple of days and hang up when the machine picked up. Curious I called to see who it was and they are NRMA checking to see why I haven't renewed my road side membership. I expect a caller to speak if they want me to take a call if I am unfamiliar with the number . I think most people these days would do the same.

Caller: (02) 9352 8103 They said NRMA and my roadside assistance was expired, that was correct and I renewed it. I recall them the same number went to NRMA sales and they provided me a receipt as well, so its NRMA Roadside Assistance Sales number and it's genuine.

Caller hangs up as soon as I answer.
If it's NRMA, why not announce the call, or apologise if called in error. Strange behaviour!

Said they were from NRMA Roadside but very dodgy, rushed voice saying my membership had not been renewed. Twice said in a backhand way that the call was being recorded, second time I said you've already told me that and they said they couldn't remember if they had or not - slipped up reading their script?? Then asked for my personal details. I said no as the call was unsolicited and they tried to pressure me and eventually hung up on me. Don't trust.

Caller: NRMA NRMA have become massive spammers for some reason. I chose not to renew my membership (seriously, it’s a waste of money). Anyway, I have received 8 SMS, several emails and this is the second call. And they provide NO OPTION to opt out of their spam which is probably illegal but definitely highly unprofessional. Don’t know what’s happened to NRMA, but I’m not interested in dealing with them any more!

Caller: NRMA roadside service Reminder about overdue roadside service. They said call is being recorded then asked if I want to renew. I told them I'm not renewing as I found much cheaper elsewhere, then they asked for name, date of birth and address to be able to take me off their system. Not sure I should have gave that information but I did.

Rang but didn’t leave a message. Checked here to see it was NRMA - I haven’t renewed as I get roadside assistance as part of my car servicing package.

Answered the call and no one there, stayed listening for half a minute and then got an engaged signal. I phoned the number back and got a message saying "You recently received a call from the NRMA". Well I didn't except this one which could be a scam on a robo dial arrangement.

They rang me a month ago and I already told them I was renewing there overpriced service. Sick to death of these harassing calls. You would expect better from a organisation as large as NRMA.
