I am so annoyed with these scammers phoning every day. A different number nearly every time. Always about the internet. How do they get Australian numbers?

My smartphone advised me the number calling was a potential Spam. So I don't answer, and you get confirmation it is fake when the caller does not leave a message. Plus I check this site, and I get help from other people who verify the number calling is a fraudster.

As a business, we received about 20 calls a day from this scammer. Sometimes an automated msg, other times a person with an accent. They advise they are nbn telstra and that our internet will be disconnected. When i advise we are a business affiliated with nbn, they hang up. Another time he advised we would be disconnected in 15 days. I asked for his identification and he hung up.

Only rang once before phone showed 'missed call'. Of course whenever this happens i use reverse look up & then (99/100 times) block the number on my phone.

I respond “You are calling about a Chic Band?” Answer No I am calling about your internet connection... Response from moi...”Oh you’re calling about having intercourse?” Reply....”No I am calling about Telstra and your Internet”
The conversation goes back and forth finally I ask can I call you back I have just had my Curry delivered and really need to eat some thing I can actually swallow...

Called and said that they were from Telstra and that someone was using my internet. They wanted me to log on so that they could fix the security. Needless to say I refused and hung up. Unfortunately they called on my landline and I can't block them on there, so they just keep on calling.

Caller: Some scumbag pretending to be from Telstra Same deal here just now - heavy Indian or sub-continent accent. My phone warned me it was spam and as soon as I heard the delay and the click I knew it was indeed a spam call. I let him say about two sentences until I heard "telstra" and "internet" then abused the &%$# out of him before he hung up.

Silence, then a beep and a robot-generated voice saying "Good-bye", then disconnects.
