Just received a call from this number and a female proceeded to tell me my computer and internet connection was compromised. She also threatened to disconnect my internet because i would not comply and told her in no uncertain terms would I let her near my internet. Told her to get a real job. I rang back the number to see if it would connect but a message says the number was not connected. Strange.

Telstra advising of virus on computer. Want you to open up a remote connection so they can take control of your computer. Then they ask you to put in credit card info so they can take all your money. Normally these "Telstra" calls come from an unknown number. The trick is to not say hello. Once you say hello, it activates on their end that this number is in use. If you don't say anything, the line will remain silent and not finish connecting
