Caller: Google ad support

Tried calling back later the same day, however, advised that the number is no longer active and to contact Google Ad Support...

This number must have me on repeat dial for all times of the day. There is nothing I dislike more than missed calls that don't leave a message, which indicates to me that they have no interest in transparency and so I refuse to pick up.

I received a call from the above number. And the below email as well.
I got confused whether those people are genuinely from Google or scammers.🤔 Here's their email.

Caller: Google Ads

They are legit.. it's a normal part of Google's service and Microsoft ads too for those that have paid advertising but these guys are absolutely useless.. the usual routine is to make recommendations (usually from your recommendations tab) then suggest an increase in budget.

I got a call and I didn't answer it but I also got an e-mail from them. Here it is

"Good day,

My name is John, your Google Ads account was assigned to me by Google. I am reaching out as your dedicated Account Strategist from the Google New Business Onboarding Team.

Claims to be from Google Ads and they want to help you with your ad. Best to ignore any such unsolicited calls such as this as you can bet your bottom dollar they will not help you at all.

Caller: Scammers pretending to be Google

They pretend to be Google Ad support - playing long game - until you enter a screen share where they steal your financial infomation.

Definitely scammers. Pretended to be Google. Really unprofessional on the phone so I highly doubt they are Google. I asked why they needed to log into our Google Ads and they said "for an important update" and I said what is is and they couldnt tell me specifics. I hung up, called them back and the number was "disconnected".

Yet they asked me for my EMAIL ADDRESS!

Pretending to be Google, wanted to log into my PC (screen sharing) to "help me"
They are spoofing Google's phone number, this was not them.

If you advertised with Google Ads, this is for them calling you about your Google Ads business account. They won't ask you for any personal information.

Received a call at 12.45am so annoying.
The girl was apologetic when I told her the time. I will call google today to complain.

Received a call at 12.45 am. Answered no response. Could not get back to sleep. I will report this number today. So annoying.

Claiming Google Ads....Hung up on the first call.
They called back and asked if I could hear them now. Hahahha.
Told them never to call again. Sick and tired of these calls when I am try make a living.

These people are relentless. 3 to 4 calls a day. Blocking up my voicemail without leaving a message despite blocking the number. They are doing my head in :(

She left me a message. Wants to discuss my google ad performance issue. She said its urgent. I believe its scam.

They say they are google, they ask for my name and also want to confirm my identity. As I have learnt watching scammerpayback and jimbrowning, never give these details to people calling you. They have the call recorded and will impersonate you once they have all the information they need to be you.
