They just called, they said it was Red Cross. So maybe several groups using same number?

This number calls my workplace nearly everyday. First a lady calls then a man calls back. Both on their 02 and 03 numbers. So annoying!! Cant block them as charities are exempt for the Do Not Call Register. I've had enough and this is bordering on harassment.

The best solution we have found is to Add the Caller's Number to your Contact List of Phone Numbers.
Instead of putting a Name in the Name Box, simply put: Do Not Answer.
When the Phone rings, the Caller will be identified as Do Not Answer.
Let it ring out.
While this does not stop the calls coming in, nevertheless it lets you know the Caller is one of those Do Not Answer calls -we have 15 in our Contacts List.

Charities are exempt from the 'Do Not Call Register'. This number is from the Red Cross. The Red Cross is a charity organisation therefore they are exempt.

Surely being on the "Do Not Call Register" should protect us from being pestered several times a day by these telemarketers - who NEVER have the courtesy to leave a message. Who wants to do business with companies like that anyway? The Government should take action - with the cooperation of service providers such as Telstra and Optus.

I experienced the same thing, many calls per day. I called the number back and got a message that the call was from Contact Centres Australia on behalf of the Red Cross and gave me this number to call 1300 011 847.
I called that and asked if I could be removed from the list and they said they would arrange it.
It takes up to 30 days.
Fingers crossed.

This number has called my house phone and my mobile this week. When answered, there is no response. This happens every month, all because I donated to Red Cross in the past. Just puts me off donating again since they abuse my personal information with these nonsense calls on a monthly basis!

Pretend to be from the Red Cross - I started speaking another language and the Asian girl called me a $$$$&87&&@

This number has now called 8 times in just over an hour span. only once has someone spoken and apologised for calling a buisness (which was 3rd phone call) only to hang up and call me again 2 secs later

Have had five calls in the last two days from (02) 9112 9686, no message is ever left, very annoying! I suspect that they get paid per connected call, hence since the answering machine picks up paid call?

Received call from this number, said red cross, asked for a particular person and said they wanted to say thank you, i said i would pass the thank you on and hung up :)

I agree. It's harassment. I hate it. Why don't the politicians remove this discretion from charities and political organisations? True privacy.

This number just called my workplace, which is a charity. As soon as I said "Good morning" then the charity name & my name, they hung up. I have now blocked this number on our phone, if they call again, they will get an engaged signal.

4 calls from this number today. When I answered they hung up.

Have been rang on mobile 8 time over 3 days harassed by numbers (02) 9112 9686 and (03) 9006 0155 - rang both back and computerised message says that the Red Cross is running a fund raising push prior to Christmas. Does anbody know how to stop them or where to report them
