Claims to be taxation office - is an obvious recorded message - and saying that police on the way etc.

This guy called me also...James Appleton from the ATO regarding tax evasion and warrent out for arrest. I have no debts and I pay my taxes!

Contact the ATO. or look on their website. They have a contact number you can report it to.

Says he is James Appleton from ATO you have been reported for Tax evasion, and called back (02) 9099 5788, before they send the police around, do not take this call lightly.

"We also have received two of these messages left on our answering machine. We would like to report it but don't know who to report it to"

I Actually did not answer call, but listened to message! Quite bizarre, threatened jail for 'tax avoidance'...

Received two calls from this number and yes again using ATO as the caller and telling me to get my lawyers to call a number due to outstanding debts....errrr I don't have any debts obviously I hung up.

Dodgy...... why would the ATO allow an ethnic person with an ethnic accent record a message like this......

Called me several times, left message regarding ato tax evasion. I rang the number back, dude who answered claimed it was KFC order line & did I want to order any chicken! I just rang number again, guy answered "Australian taxation office" then when I asked for the location of rhe office dh promptly told me to suck his d@@@ and a string of other non-repeatable expletives. Wish I knew where this phone was located - a personal visit would relieve all my frustration!

Same weird voicemail left about tax avoidance ... Guy sounds weird never mentioned my name in message. Sounded very sus. What a goose
