Caller: 6 a deal??

They called saying I entered an iPhone prize raffle - this is a scam. I asked who gave them my number and they hang up. Tried calling back and get the “6 a deal” message with no opt out option.

They call and after I picked up, I heard nothing.
I recommend being careful not to say anything if these people call you.

Possibly a devious debt collector / agency attempting to not disclose their identity. Lion Finance and Baycorp are two such companies famous for this tactic. Report them to the ACCC and/or ASIC.

Got this too just now. Didn't answer.
After reading the posts, I decided not to return the call. Glad that I read the posts. Have been receiving too many unsolicited calls lately. A smart thing these people did is to dial our number from their country but wired through a an Australian number they manage to secure.

Thanks to earlier posts. You did a wonderful job.

Obviously not from the actual number as out of service when you call back after a missed call

Unknown. No voicemail message left. I have been getting a lot of Asian female prerecorded message calls recently, some of which come up as local calls and some of which come up as "Private". My guess is that this could be another one of these pest calls but, to be fair, I can't say for sure. In any case, if the number is legit, then why leave no voicemail message? I believe that it is a pest caller, unless it was simply a one-off wrong caller.
