Some BS call from vodafone about & I quote "An exciting new offer..."

Caller: Vodafone but a scam call

Got a call from (02) 9015 3809 saying they are from Vodafone and they were offering me some great deals. I hung up and called Vodafone immediately. Call was not from them. Its a scam call. Beware everyone

Came up as Suspected Spam so did not answer.

They called me at 9.21am and then again at 11.47am
Why when they do emails with offers
I don’t need randoms calling me to try and get more money out of me each month as I’m finally saving at the end of my 36 month plan…… if they call again I will note. I hung up the 11.47am call and I rang back the 9.21am call and it said it was probably Vodafone trying to tell me about a deal. Truecaller app comes up as Vodafone sales

Not sure why people are saying this is not Vodaphone. If you go to the Vodaphone website, the number (02) 9015 3809 is one of the numbers listed as a number they will call you from. The full list of numbers is here: https://www.vodafone.com.au/support/notify/customer-care . Having said that, I'm still not going to answer, because I prefer to go into a shop and talk to someone face-to-face! :D

I have read that others say it is from Vodafone. Vodafone know to text or email me as they have it on record to not call as I won't answer the phone in anycase. So I consider this to be a scam call.

I called back the number (02) 9015 3809 and reached vm that said I reached Vodafone

Upon checking, this is not Vodafone number at all.
They call you to give you exciting offers that you can get up to 50% off.
Vodafone only calls from listed numbers and this is not one of them.

Definitely Vodafone.
Ironic that one of the most persistent and annoying unsolicited telemarketers is a telecom provider

Just got the same call went to voicemail but no message left. If it’s important I sure Vodafone know how to contact me.

Yeah they are indeed vodafone, initially I got a call and hung up, then vodafone immediately sent me a text which is the same number they sent my bill from. so I had a chat with the second caller from this number, they don't actually call you, the system calls you, once you pick up, it got redirected to a real sales person.

What they are really trying to do is try to get you do one of these things: 1. Upgrade your existing plan 2. Get more people with vodafone 3. Try to lock you for certain amount of time so you won't be able to switch contract during this period. You will get discount as the exchange, which I think you could easily just go to their website and chat to a sales man to get the same offer without preexisting conditions. I was paying $60 a month for a very long time now, I get 160gb data per month, now I'm paying $60 for 300gb, which is the exact same offer as their website, downside is that I'm locked in for a year, I can still upgrade, just won't be able to cancel, I will need to pay 50% x $60 x the number of month left on the contract if i try to cancel within the year. Which I don't really mind, I'm basically paying the same for almost double the data, I don't plan to cancel or switch anyways...so yeah...you could probably get the same offer without lockin if you threat them with cancellation on their website chat, I just didn't want to go through the hassle this time lol.

Called 3 times every 2 hours. Took call third time. Vodafone offering me a great service.
Wanted me to give details for security. I didn’t. They continued with call though… I said thanks but like to chat in person.
He said staff in shops are nice but they match their experience. I said, not denying, but I prefer that style of interaction. He politely wished me a nice evening and ended call.

They didn't leave any message in voice mail. So probably not important.

I got a phone call from Vodafone AU, the number shows from Sydney. I spoke with a guy who has strong Indian accent. He didn’t clear my questions and kept asking me my details. I told him to call me back at noon.( I live in WA) if he is from Vodafone, he must know who he calls and have the customer details. So I would say this is scam. They sent me SMS after call but I don’t trust it either.

Kind of annoying especially because they said they’d call me on a private number if at all. Personally, I am going to stop being a customer since they have so many intruding numbers to call at ridiculous times.

having spoken to Vodafone in the past, they have said they do not call their customers.

Messages on this forum saying it is real, are scammers trying to legitimise the number. Just hang up, don't engage they will target you more.
