Giving this information here is just as useless as clicking on unsubscribe on a spam email or answering a marketing call or calling back a missed call from an unrecognised number. They are all more likely to make the problem worse than better. There is no way to know that this is not a marketer compiling a new list of confirmed numbers to sell on in the trade. The best bet with these calls is to wait thirty seconds before answering. They usually call for less than thirty seconds. If you are on a mobile, make sure you save all numbers of legitimate callers. Check the number before answering if your phone doesn't list a name, then wait thirty seconds before answering. Follow it up by checking here on reverse. Never call them back. Anyone legit will ring longer, leave a message, text or call you back.

RSPCA fund raiser aggressive auto-dialler!

If you recieve a call from this number it is a fund raising company for the RSPCA who use a very aggressive auto-dialler. These things were once illegal but now it seems all these 'charity' groups use them, because they claim to be a charity they can get around the Do Not Call Register (even though they're a high-profit company, and are a weapon of choice for disgruntled veterinarian's all over the country) I strongly urge you to call 1300 306 794 and request you be added to their Do Not Call listing and avoid funding these parasites.

I just received a phone call from a lady claiming to be from Insight on behalf of the RSPCA about fundraising. I promptly hung up on her and will block the number on my phone

I had a call from someone from this number, I said I was at work and was told not to answer my phone in the futer if I can't talk and that I am making excuses. He was really rude and I hope he will get in a lot a troulble. I have to answer calls from 02 numbers as I have kids, one is at camp at the moment so I need to answer it. Anyway, I will try and block this number.

Sorry Fred... But for a minute there. I actually thought I had a right to my privacy and not have my phone hijacked by random strangers that are already well aware how annoying and frustration and just plain rude it is to cold call. Silly me! How dare I have the right to voice my opinion no matter where I live.

Jeez, calm down everyone, it's not like they're breaking into your house and eating your children before your eyes. It's the RSPCA calling, they want money, who doesn't? Does the number look familiar? No? Then don't answer it. You're under no obligation to answer your phone, so if you do - you got yourself to blame. Don't we just love getting riled about boring first world problems...

When I've gotten caught out I just keep saying hello like I can't hear them then hang up. It seems I donate once then I get a call EVERY month or two weeks. This number has called me TWICE in the same day. Told them to not call back. Now they are in my mobile under charity and I don't pick up. If it's a charity I have a monthly donation for they have left a message.

Yes they must call for a microsecond as it shows as a missed call but my phone did not actually ring. Very annoying for of attempted fundraising. Because they cannot actually call in person and you get a recorded message on call back I will refuse to donate anything to them.

Thanks for the 1300 306 794 number; I told them I considered the constant phone calls harassment and stalking. Guess what I am a big person now and can make my own decision about what charity I donate to and at what time.
