Called saying they were from WPA and wanted to update my address in their systems. The address they had was never even remotely an address I've lived at. When I confronted him about it he got nervous and hung up.

It is at the point that all telemarketing, surveying, and charity/fundraising calls should be outlawed. As it stands - the provider Telco's should provide a service to block these callers calling a number requesting that action... by any number they use. It cannot be regarded as reasonable conduct by the Telco's that they do not. If the status quo persists - I will lobby for federal law to make the practice of all telemarketing, surveying, and charity/fundraising calls made illegal and compulsory requirements to facilitate this be imposed on the Telco's.

Female voice stating that she is from Cyber Apps and wanting to know if I would be interested in having Android, Windows Apps developed for my web site.
I stated, 'No, I am not interested' and then hung up as she is not able to take 'No' as an answer while she kept talking.

I had a call from this number from "Paragon IT", website they gave was http://www.paragonit.net.au/
Call operator name given was Alex Smith, they asked for specific information about our network and what was our biggest vulnerability (I gave false information).
I had them confirm the number they were calling me on was the one to call them back on, calling back is engaged.

Consistently been ringing my number, finally answered and they wanted to verify personal details like home address (wrong guess!). Think they said they were from WPA. Sounded extremely dodgy.

Now they are Speedcast. I had the girl spell out the name. I received calls from this mob all the time. Always someone different. Always hang up on me. Any cold callers wonder why we get the sh*ts with them again and again.

Getting calls from this number 2 or 3 times a day. No one speaks. Hangs up after about 10 or 15 seconds. Perhaps an automatic calling system, gone wrong. I've heard about automated systems which dial, test and record if someone answers the phone, producing a short-list of positive/quality numbers to cold-call and saving valuable time for human callers when selling, marketing or scamming something. Might be an urban myth, but we get these silent calls at home, also. Not long after, we get the suspicious, pause, long-distance, poor quality, "I'm not selling anything" call :-)
