Same as above! Told him I'm not interested in anything, anyone has to offer by cold calling! He asked "why not" & I said "because you sound like a dirty grubby scammer that will die of cancer"
He hung up!

An Indian who says he is from Home Improvement Pages but he is quite rude and hangs up on you if you don't give credit card details.
Tries to get money for advertising my business.
Has called over 30 times in a month.
Assume he is a scammer, and not from Home Improvement Pages, but if he is then he should be sacked.

Scam scam pretending to be Hipages. He asks for renewal of membership but and what areas you want to do. For a fee of 400 dollars no leads Etc then directs your call to his manager who tells you to put money in there bank account. I missed up the account numbers on purpose and he started giving me attitude over the phone. Then asked when I have internet and I just said I'll have internet when I'm screwing your mum. He didn't like it one bit and started saying he took 5gs from my credit card etc haha

Please don't give this goose any money haha

I'm a hi page customer and don't appreciate these calls. This time I got his name. Micheal Kim (apparently) best we all can do is report it to hipages every time.
Regards
Eric

Scam

This has been going on for over 18 months. All the information above is correct. What annoys me is that Hipages does know about it and is looking into it yet nothing is being done. I spoke to somebody in management and suggested they should email or call there customers to let them know about this scam and to be careful, to which they replied " we don't want to scare our customers off and make them think hipages is unsafe, our lawyers are looking into it" well nothing is being done and they are more worried about making money and signing up new customers than protecting their existing loyal customers. Now when a legitimate caller from Hipages rings I cant trust them. Its a joke.

I can confirm that this is a scam, I contacted Hipages and they confirmed that these people are not part of Hipages and the phone number isn't even similar to their numbers or extensions.

Extremely rude. I have told them to stop calling me 3 times now, I still get calls that just hang up after a few seconds.

Anyone continuing to be harassed by these people, lodge a complaint with the TIO.

Each complaint gets personally looked into by the ombudsman, and enough complaints will see them issued with a large fine.

If they continue to prank call, they will be taken to court.

This number rang me 5 times today claiming they rang me last week & I told them to call me back today. He claimed to be from Hipages & I told him that he didn't call me last week & if he I did I wouldn't of told him to call me back as He is a Tele marketer & I simply would have hung up on him. After that each time the number called I answered it & didn't say a word left the line open. He said hello about 10 times and hung up

I had a call last month from someone in Hi Pages. I transfered money to him but have not heard anything since. I think this is a scam and everyone should be looking out for it. I have tried to ring them several times but get put on hold and then they hand up.

This sis a scam. I've confirmed with HiPages and they are investigating the matter. If this number contacts you, report their number to the police.

Scam caller
Claimed they were from Hipages and my yearly renewal was up (after 5mths) claimed that they couldn't use my credit card due to technical difficulty and gave me their bank details as follows...Name:Hipages BSB:062948 Account:16893872. Claimed that if they weren't hipages then how could they have the Hipages name in their bank details and said I'm being silly. I was told they sent me an email, that never came. After I told them that they were scammers, they passed me on to their supposed supervisors that attempted to pressure me more. Eventually they gave up stating thank you for your valued service then hung up. On attempting a callback on the number (02) 8880 0272 a message "your call is valuable to us, please hold the line and you'll be transferred to the next available agent" then I was hung up on again. Hipages has confirmed the scam so be warned as this is not the first time I have had scammers claiming to be from Hipages.
