  Hi all, i also received 2 calls in last 2 weeks from this number, offering me free wifi modem and free mobile phone. but when i asked the details from the caller about who she is? and where is she calling from? she pretended she cant hear me and hung up.
  Called vodafone, but as you all mentioned, Vodafone won't confirm if their call centre making calls or not.
  i think its a scam for sure.

  Same thing here. Received 4 missed calls from this number this week.  Picked up the call and it was a "Vodafone employee" on the line selling me broadband plans. "02" is a NSW number I believe.This is becoming very very annoying.  How can we stop it? And what is worrying is how they got our numbers.  Supposedly via Vodafone's database?

  I also got a call from (02) 8789 4450 and I actually answered it. The person did not introduce themselves but told me I am eligible for a free phone. I thought that was strange because I just recently got a new phone which I had to negotiate beccause I was not eligible for an upgrade yet. So I asked who it was and she said she was Linda from Vodafone and that I was eligible for free mobile broadband. I still thought it was a bit weird but I am interested in mobile broadband so I expressed my interest and she hung up. Now currently on hold with vodafone to check if this is a legitimate call.

  I'm with vodafone also - keep missing the call can't really be bothered calling back but all im interested in is some more reception in ellenbrook WA!!!!!

  I just got off the phone with them then. It was a Vodaphone telemarketer telling me when i got my new phone last year there was a modem deal where i was meant to get a free modem. However they charge you a $15 connection but as im about to loose my modem i went with it for the time being. you can cancel anytime and it doesn't cost anything.

  got a call from them and they left a message saying they are from vodafone and i should give them a call back on a different number, not even bothering, they have tried called twice more since then and a few blocked numbers straight after that one calls

  Same thing is happening to me with this number. They've rung me twice in the past week! First time they didnt speak and second time I missed it. Is there anyway we can report this number or something?? Seems it could be a scamming person of some sort! By googling the number this is all I come with so might aswell share my story too!!
