Yeah I have had the same thing. Phone calls every day for the last month or so and when I do answer no one there. I just rang them back and it was a computerized voice about some promotion thing but it did say please hold the line to speak to an operator. So I did and got onto one pretty quickly. They said if you have had some sort of magazine subscription that is why I would be getting calls. I explained I was getting phone calls everyday and she said they had been having troubles with their phones and their system at the moment. I just asked to be taken off of the phone list, and she said fine. So hopefully I shouldnt get anymore calls. So we will see. :o)

Several strange calls from this number, all hang-ups. SCAM or Legitimate business, they should at speak when they disturb your day. Fortunately I don't have voice mail, so I have a "contact" in my phone address book called "BLOCKER", & I have set this contact to forward the call directly to voicemail.....which I don't have.....therefore my phone network AUTOMATICALLY hangs up on them!! It's been great, my handset doesn't even ring with these blocked numbers now. But of course this only works because I DON"T have voicemail.

Continual calls received from this number - they usually just hang up or leave you hanging if you answer. If you actually get someone speak they try to pressure you into buying a magazine subscription. The same company Express Media Group also uses (02) 9741 3994 in exactly the same way. They do not respect a "DO NOT CALL" request.

I've just started getting a lot of missed calls from this number as well. After looking it up and finding this page, I suspect it's because I subscribed to an art magazine (Australian Fine Art and Decorative Painting) about a month ago that is based in NSW. Thanks for the solution, "Stop Calling Me", I will call the toll-free number and tell them to take my number off the list. When I sent in my subscription form I ticked "Do not contact me with marketing info" or whatever the equivalent was, so I am annoyed they are ignoring it. I have also found the Do Not Call register is next to useless; we are registered and I have kept it updated (as it expires every few years) yet we are still bombarded by telemarketing and charity calls.

It's simple people.
If you're busy, don't answer it. If you're not busy, pick it up and be happy they've been charged for the call.
Ignore the curiosity bug by not calling them back.
Seriously, how many people phone you up with an offer that's good for YOU? realise they just want you to call back so they can sell you a subscription to a magazine.

Call (free call) 1800 801 647 - wait to speak to an opperator. They will remove you phone number - no problem.

I am fed up with this caller. They ring at least once every day - do not let the phone ring for very long before they hang up - just long enough that you have to stop whatever you are doing to check the phone. I never answer.

Cannot believe I'm still getting calls from this number - goes quiet for a while and then starts again. Another one to add to the blocked list on my phone. Annoying.

I don't think it is any company in particular (or a magazine either) I've had a few calls and if you try to get back to them it can be a different recorded message every time. Sometimes it says it's a mag, sometimes it says it's a Promotion company, once it even said it was a Consumer Survey!! Whatever it say, it's SPAM &/or SCAM!! Don't answer, or better yet, answer every time and let them hang up on you, then they'll get charged for the call, but NEVER ring back!

I think it is a telemarketing firm or maybe a magazine subscription service. Best things that have happened to me in relation to annoying calls is this website and 'Call blocking' on my phone. It is worth the $6 per month to have Caller Id so we can identify call numbers and then stop the buggers from annoying us!

Same problem with this number as everyone else. Dont subscribe to anything 4wd or even own one. Not impressed

Numerous calls which disconnect when answered. Becoming increasingly annoyed. Is there some way to block or stop tjis happening?

A woman called from this number asking for my fiancee, without introducing or identifying herself. Apparently from an Aust 4wd magazine - but she didn't identify herself until i asked & was not at all professional. Wanted to know if everything was arriving on time and then just said 'oh ok bye' then hung up very quickly. Is this a legitimate call?

I keep getting calls from (02) 8719 3572 without anyone being on the line. I was overseas and also received these. I am advised that it is 4WD Australia Magazine.

I just rang them on there 1800 number and very easy just ask to be taken off there phone list.

Bloody telemarketing groups that want money which ever way they can get it .... enough already....You need to call (free call) 1800 801 647 - wait to speak to an opperator - and ask to be removed. option 2 is to cancel all subscriptions .... which is what I offered them .. End Rant..

Oh really. Damn it I just called the (02) number. How much does it charge you?  A stupid amount? Or just normal STD charges?

After getting several calls from this number (02) 8719 3572) when I wasn't at home, I phoned the number to discover it was the "Express Media Group" which handles magazine subscriptions. I asked how they got my number and found it was due to a magazine subscription someone had gifted to me.  I told them I didn't want any more calls. The person I spoke to was very polite, looked up my details which I confirmed, and  advised I would be removed from their call list. It's probably worth a call to have your name removed.
