I have finally answered this number that been calling me for days and days on end. It some indian male recording voice then a female came on. I threatened them if they keeps calling my number, ill take them to court so stop ringing me. She went silence like she was shocked and then hanged up. For f sake get this number shut down and raid them. Enough is enough.

This number advised my (not exactly young, therefore quite technologically vulnerable) Dad to check his emails and give the man a reference number from an email. As soon as this happened, $4,500 went missing from my Dad's bank account. We were luckily able to get the money back from the bank's fraud squad. But, moral of the story: do not give ANY information to this number. Do not answer this number. They will rob you of your hard earned money.

No those Scammers did not waste their money. When you answered the phone you without knowing it have confirm that you do exist and that means that your ID may be true too. Do not be surprised if you one day are looking on a Dating Website about someone that seems to me like you but the photo is from someone else. That is what scammers do they are not always trying to Sell you stuff that is just a Decoy. Those Criminals will sell their Souls to the Devil just to steal your Identity to make lots of money. No one will blame you if you use your Mother in Law's fake leg to Bash those Indian and Nigerian Scammers.

They don't give up. I now have a postie whistle beside the phone, and I let it rip.

DON'T switch to TOTAL Group (or whomever they claim to be representing). ABN 21 095 756 979. Start off calling themselves NBN Australia, make claims such as you can keep your email address (rubbish), lock you in for 24 months, a $74/month actually lands up costing well over $100 per month! Extra charges eg Regional Surcharge of $9.95/mth (x24) for the Gold Coast! DON'T USE THEM!

Jenny phoned me as well. It was a good thing I was able to google all these comments up while I had them on the phone! Funny though, they had my private mobile number but my work address

Unfortunately you can't threaten or do much about these 'Pop Up Scammers' as they move around and staff change. I guess we can just be polite and tell them you're not interested or you cannot hear them properly.

This number called my wife this morning, said hello and then he hung up. Yep, someone trying to piece together some details to commit identity fraud is my guess. I tried to return the call but had a "this number is not in service" error. Surprise surprise!

Over the scammers!!

So I received a call today from this number, did the same thing as many before me and called the number back only to hear that the mailbox is full. I read all the posts on here and am thankful for the internet once again at how quickly you can become knowledgeable about scammers, identity thieves etc. Best solution I can come up with is to add the number to your contacts under the name 'scam alert' and once contact is added in iPhone (not sure about android), it gives you an option under that contact to block caller. I have done this and will not be receiving calls from this number again!

This number has called me a couple of times. Reading the comments above I just realised that this is our my Aunty got caught but someone claiming to be Telecom and offering these cheaper rates. She joined and then could not get service all the time. Ended up having a big fight with them and went to Ombudsman. People are getting caught because they think it is Telstra and when then realise it is not it is too late. When she went back to Telstra could get her number back and to change everything.
