I got a text message from the number 0439 771 601 which said my full name followed by can you please call Monalisa Rebello on (02) 8651 5217?
I Google searched the name Monalisa Rebello and no company comes up. A Facebook profile comes up but it's a fake profile. I know that any numbers starting with 02 86 are from the Sydney area so I also googled Monalisa Rebello Sydney and still nothing showed at all. I'm not calling them back based on the comments already on here about this number but I am guessing it is a total scam.

this number rang me and when I rang back a female answered and she would not tell be why the number was ringing me, but just wanted my info so she could check on the system, I terminated the call.

I called this number back and she wouldn't tell me the company name for "privacy reasons" but wanted me to give her my information which I refused to do without knowing who I was giving it to.

"Lianie" has called our work place in NZ twice from (02) 8651 5217 asking for information on one of our workers. OK lady like we give out confidential information on employees. She would not name her company name citing "confidentiality" even though I pointed out if they were a business then they would have a company name and yet she wants me to give her confidential information. So we have a lady calling NZ from Sydney asking for information on a worker yet wont give us any further info on who they are. She then gives us an Australian number including a 1800 number (cant call 1800 from NZ). Unprofessional, not correct way to conduct business and if you want someone to call back how about you supply them with the correct number & info, there is no point sayin 02-... when this is not correct.

Someone called me on this number (02) 8651 5217 and said they are from Credit Corp Group

I've been recieving texts to this is my third and she has finally put company name she is from.

But i also have been hesitant researched her and haven't responded as seems iffy.

Msg below that I got:

Hi (my name), we recently issued an important notice to your address. To avoid your account being considered for further recovery action, please contact me on (02) 8651 5217. If you would like a copy of the notice via email, please respond to me with your email address and I will send a copy to you. Monalisa Rebello Credit Corp.

I also had another experience if this is a debt collector whereby didn't trust as i had a handwritten note at my door saying urgent call Makayla with an 02 number I called due to urgent i immediately responded even thinking an 02 number are usually scams.

I called this person said which bank they were representing from, but I found all weird and said I'd call back. So instead I called my bank who passed on who they sold debt to and ends up this was legit. But I don't know about monalisa and haven't called this one back as by the sounds of it she doesn't give further info out when speaking to those that have responded.

I'll keep you posted as well have to deal with it and put to rest but all in saying is debt collectors apparently have an unorthodox way of getting to you and my suffering is to find out which bank they represent call your bank they will give you the phone number of who sold to and deal with it as the process in end want to bad and very realistic and helpful with organising my pay back system.

I get a text daily to call someone called monalisa Rebello on this number. same person uses a private number and a mobile number and wants all your private information but will not say what company they are with

Got a call from a private number asking me to disclose my name, DOB etc. I said no and asked where she was calling from but she wouldn't tell me . She advised she will send me a text with her number. Got a text from 0406 852 680 with a name Monalisa Rebello and number (02) 8651 5217. I am not calling back or disclosing any information and suggest you do the same thing. Reputable businesses do not conduct business this way

I called back the number (02) 8651 5217 and the lady on the other line did not mention the company name
