Caller: Maria Gallardo

It is a debt collector company based in North West Sydney. They look at the social media platform of the person they are looking for in an attempt to call the friends of the intended person. A clear violation of Privacy Act 1991 (Cth) as these friends never give consent to such company to contact them.

Caller: Miles

Miles called seeking the name of my ex wife. I advised him that I used to be her husband. He asked if I knew how to get a message to her or her next of kin (adult children). I advised yes. He provided me with the phone number (02) 8651 5048 and he gave me a reference number. I told Miles that before I pass any information on, what is the purpose of the call? He said he is under the privacy act and cannot disclose. I then said that he is permitted to advise me what industry he is employed in. He said the Finance Industry. I knew immediately it was debt collectors chasing her as she was always terrible with money, racking up our credit card bills, loaning money from her parents and never paying it back, unpaid bills, controlling my bank account and I couldnt see where our money was going and disappearing into thin air. Looks ike her old habits never die. I'm going to enjoy passing these details over to our son to give to her.

Caller: Maria

She rang and left a message on my work phone for me to call her. When I called back she wanted to know who I was and why I had called her. I explained that she had called me so she should tell me who she was first. She said that she was from a debt company and that 'if" she had called me she was probably calling me about someone else. I then told her that I wasn't going to talk to her and hung up. She sounded really dodgy and unorganised.
