Very rude, as I was receiving persistent calls, I answered and no one would speak. If you cant leave a message or speak when answered, you can feck off. Another one for the reject list.

I took the call. Calling from CM Swiss or something like that. He said I had shown interest in trading by contacting them via the Internet which was bullsh*t.. I let him go on. Went on about the Chinese market about to take a big dive and he could double my money. Just start with $1000 to gain my trust. What card would I use? MasterCard or Visa? I told him it was absurd to think I would give my card details to someone I didn't know in a company I had never heard of. I hung up.

Hangs up when answered.

It seems too coincidental that these jerks have only started ringing, and by that I mean five calls in less than a fortnight, since FB asked us to give a mobile number to aid security. I have taken the advice of others and created a Pest Caller profile and let it ring out.

Received call from this number {(02) 8599 6199} and, like others, heard nothing before the call was terminated by "them". Can only assume that the caller is trying to get as much information as possible. I always answer my phone in the same way. By now the caller has my phone number, first name, surname, and address. These all from easily obtainable sources such as phone directories, phone calls, etc. It's amazing how much we give away even in the briefest of connections.

Since I have previously indicated my interest in various investment products, even more of my information may be known to other companies in this market.

If I do not want to receive calls from a particular number I create a contact with that number called 'Do not answer', 'DNA', or similar. At the very least, I then have a record of these calls if I wish to take action or remedies against nuisance callers. I understand that telephone providers may also be able to block such calls.

Say that you need to run some checks on the company; you need the names of 3 clients who give permission for you to contact them . Permission eliminates any privacy issues. Be prepared for an abusive response

BEWARE these idiots are scammers and will try different variety of phone numbers to contact you. DO NOT even talk to them just block there numbers. There needs to be something done about these individuals. These calls seem to be getting worse by the day. The DO NOT CALL Register is an absolute joke. As is the ACCC.

I am getting them now. I have so many numbers blocked that I've lost count. If it starts with 02 it is a scam unless you know someone with that area code just don't answer. Surely after enough non answers they will stop. You would think Telstra could help us with this but they probably get kick back from it!

Every week a couple of times a week since June, I don't answer anymore. I'm on the do not call register, how can these bastards get away with it, they are idiots to think that by constantly ringing a number which doesn't pick up they are going to get anything from me!

Called re some sort of telemarketing I had "signed up" for. Told him I hadn't and to not ring me at work and hung up. Received a return call from an unknown number, was the same guy. Told me I was F'in rude and proceeded with a tirade of abuse and told me he would ring me everyday. I have blocked the number.

very rude man telling me he was from some investment company and I had signed up to some internet thingy with is BS , when I told him to stop calling the number and unsubscribe me he got real nasty with extreme foul language . I just hung up and now blocked the number
