As per the goverment website, the NSW Rural Fire Service DOES NOT seek donations over the telephone. Bar the calls from 02 8524 59xx.

This number called me today. He said he was calling for donations on behalf of the volunteer fire brigade

They call and don't leave a message - I am on the "don't call register" and have been for a long time. Am blocking now

This number has started calling me again after a hiatus of about 5+ years, they don't even bother to leave a message. Not wasting my time calling back.

The 5900 number calls me on my mobile. I guess they must have plenty of money to be able to call mobile numbers. I didn't answer the call and they didn't leave a message on message bank.

Also calling from 5990 ring back and its a disconnected number. I am on the do not call database but it doesnt cover charities.

Same as above... am sitting at my computer now searching (02) 8524 5900 as the phone has rung three times in three hours all from this number and not leaving a message.
I cannot believe this is a fundraising agency doing this.
I am very pleased this forum has been established so I am more aware that I am not alone.

Some one called from this number and asked for a Mr or Mrs XYZ. I asked him for the first name and he started abusing and disconnected.

Telstra says it is a fund raiser via AAPT Telophony network Mass Calling Enterprise calling 4000 incremental numbers each hour.

Getting alot of calls from this number thought id post them on here..Yep they are from annoying fundraising thing. They ring and hang up! So i just pick up and dont talk.. lol.They all start with (028524) 5999                                        5944                                        5955                                        5948                                        5938                                        5966                                        5956All these calls all done in ONE MONTH! Twice a DAY as well! Im sooo sick of these calls i feel like swearing everytime they ring! But i DONT! lol Hope this helps all.

- (02) 8079 4700

Hope they don't call back today.
