There was a beep and then a recorded voice saying goodbye before the call ended. The goodbye almost sounded a bit smart Arse as if it was to say “got ya”

Caller: Telemarketer for an electricity company Unsolicited call from a foreign telemarketer using a contact list from some spurious source as they knew my name. I told them that I was not interested, remove my contact details from their records and after hanging up blocked their number.
