How can they ring you when your on the "DO NOT CALL Register"

Someone in TELSTRA probably got a promotion for thinking up such a good business idea: pay the overseas subcontractors by how many calls they make, NOT by how many sales they make.

When they continue to play this game, what chance have they got of selling me anything? <<NONE>>

This number keeps ringing my home phone and mobile 6 times a day every single day. As I work full time and don't have access to my mobile during the day, I am getting really annoyed by their pestering. I thought that if you are on the "do not call" register they are not allowed to bother you!

They say that DNCR doesn't apply to them because Telstra actually contracted them.
But - if you call them on 1800 634 055 (the number they explicitly specify for this purpose and have hidden in their privacy statement) and request that they stop calling you, then they are required to stop calling you.

This number rings me sometimes twice a day. But never leave a message. So annoying. Wish they would f@@@ off.

This number keeps ringing me only on my mobile every day sometimes twice a day. Don't answer calls from unknown numbers. On do not call but that hasn't stop them. So annoying.

these spankers have called several times always with an 02 prefixed number claiming they are from telstra melbourne head office - dead set giveaway - whenever I see the number now I answer the phone as Senior constableblurt from Mapson (no spam backwards) police - the next sound you hear is "click" haha

These pricks keep calling, I don't answer anymore.

Caller: A guy

Called and told me he was from belong and calling about running out of time to changeover to Nbn and if I left it to late I would be disconnected and have to pay a fee to be reconnected rah rah rah. He spoke very quickly and was quite aggressive and very pushy I hung up. My phone said the call was coming from Sydney but he told me he was from the Brisbane office

Yes I have to agree. Ever since companies including banks like CBA, West pac etc have taken call centres and back office work overseas our country has been flooded with SCAM callers. And why wouldn’t it be ? They have access to all our personal and financial business they must think we are all rolling in money. Shame on all companies for taking OUR personal details and handing them over to poorer nations, without our concent. All to save a few dollars, then to pay the executives a ridiculous salary and bonus all at the expense of the customer.
