Delete One System Care Virus Removal program.

Blue Screen too with the Contact Tech Support immediately scam and this phone number (02) 8417 2373 When we rang the number and refused to give certain vital information to the technician, that guy hung up. I rang him from a different number asking who he was and he hung up straight away. The hoax is dressed up as a Blue Screen of death which is certainly a new presentation. It insists you need to call the number (02) 8417 2373. to talk to a technician. I think it would be less effort to block them. It's a virus & a way for scammers to hack in so be careful.

When such Blue screen and warning apprears to call this phone number, press CTRL+ALT+DEL to bring up Task manager and KILL your browser. Delete all cookies/historyof webpages and reset your browser to default settings. Do this twice before you search/browse the internet gain.

So glad I found this thread. I thought it was a scam at first but when the message wouldn't go away I called the number since it had the Sydney 02 code. Got really suspicious from the sound of the ringtone, didn't sound legit in the slightest and the accent of the pre-recorded message that diverts you isn't Australian so hung up before anyone answered. Googled the number and this page appeared. Absolutely despicable the people who make these scams.

I had a similar experience. I was fed up with this redirect happening on IE, and decided to phone and abuse the scammers. He claimed was in australia and from Microsoft support, but he was Indian & I suspect that he was in an Indian call centre. He asked me my name which I refused to give, and asked him his name & company name. He again refused. I asked what the scam was & how much money they wanted. He started calling me a scammer & then hung up on me.

Do not call this number. They are asking money to fix the bug. I gave them the access to my PC and was very worried. I had to reinstall windows to remove this bug. Do not call (02) 8417 2373 or call the number and ask them to Fxxx off. This was an indian guy talking in American accent.

Same here guys.
I rang and they said they were Microsoft and I said then why does the message tell me it's an iinet issue.
Then they started to tell me a bull story and I stopped the guy and said don't bother telling me the rest I'll just ring iinet and find out what this is all about, and then Microsoft if I need to.
IiNet then told me if the scam.
