Spurious. Related to an old rental I hadn't lived at for ages. If I'm not responsive to their calls why don't they liaise with the agent and have the agent contact me? My relationship is with the agent, not this company.

I had several missed call from Smoke Alarms Australia over the passed few weeks. Not once were a proper voicemail left! I find it very unprofessional!! I got so annoyed I looked up the NR myself. Please train call centre staff to state the business of the a call name of company.

This is not spam, if you are in a rental, they are asked by the real estate to check the alarm in the home.

This is a confimred number for Smoke Alarms Australia. If they are calling you in error, just let them know that. We are renting and they have contacted me today to arrange to fix my alarm.

Don't believe the "they are legitimate" posts above. These are fed lines on this review site by scammers. My real estate agent has not contacted them, and they are resistant to questioning their business. Not legit. Someone needs to shut them down.

Constantly calling and texting multiple times a day to arrange a smoke alarm inspection, real estate agent can't shed any light on it. Total bogus. Ignore at all costs.

I called back number (02) 8355 3747 reached voice mail of a woman for a company called Smoke Alarms Australia.

The guy said something about my home, but couldn't understand him, had to get him to repeat. I think it was about smoke alarms, but I am in public housing so maintenance would come and check if they needed checking.

This company claimed they have made several attempts to call me regarding testing of smoke alarms. It is never from their register business number and I have had several missed calls from unknown numbers with no message ever left. I have contacted them several times but every time all the operators are busy and say they will return your call. If this is a legitimate business why don’t they call from their business number and leave a message. Very unprofessional and over this company totally.

Don’t Believe any of their attempts to be genuine They aren’t. It’s a scam they come to your house do nothing then invoice your real estate & day you contacted them while they tell you they were booked by the Agent it’s an invoicing scam ! Challenge them ask who booked them they will give you a false name ask to see the work order they will not send it scammers!

Since we had our smoke alarms tested less than a year ago, and the date the woman quoted me was Nov. 2016, I was suspicious. I asked for the company's ABN. She said, "A what?", so I spelled it out. She told me she doesn't have it. I said I'll hold for her to get it. Apparently, she'll check with the strata. The company is legitimate but the caller from this number (which is different to the two listed with Telstra) is not. I spoke with our strata secretary (lives across the hall), and there is no scheduled smoke alarm testing for our building till later on in the year. In any case, the testers send a letter to request access on a particular day and time block, as they're all completed at once. SCAMMERS!

Received another call, they don't have my correct information and claim to have received my details from my real estate, again wrong information. When I accused her of it being a scam and hung up she called back again to try and confirm it wasn't a scam. Asked repeatedly to be removed form their database.

Very annoying. They don't come at the agreed time then call and text asking for another time. Rinse and repeat.

not a scam, they call up to book you in to check your fire alarm. your realestate if your renting authorise them to call you.

I have had 3 calls in 2 days saying I'm due for my ANNUAL smoke alarm check up.
I've lived here for 9.5 years and never had them before.
It is as Unsolicited call, so therefore not required to comply.
